I feel like some people don't know how influential was Lestat for the Vampire genre, like vampires were sexual, but after Lestat they were also SEXY.
Spike from Buffy was inspired by Lestat for example, which they used as a main villain for S2 after having a very Nosferatu looking one for S1, which honestly made the show even better.
