reason im asking is bc my urologist wants me to go for one

Many urologists office provide a magazine or something if you need it. Take your partner in with you, many men do that as well.

Depending on how far away you live from the lab, you can probably collect the sample at home. This was the case for me. I think it would be far more comfortable doing it in the comfort of your home than at some strange lab. As long as you can get it to the lab in a half-hour, you should be good.
