I shaved my ass for the first time today. Kind of liking it, but realised I've missed a few. Anyone got some tips to get it right?

Also what are your thoughts on this? I'm a pretty hairy guy and am wondering if it looks a bit off. Hairy legs and torso, with shaved balls and ass crack...

I just did it for the first time ever a couple of weeks ago. I have been through regrowth a couple of times now. As soon it gets a little uncomfortable, I shave again. I love the feeling and I really like the cleanliness it provides. I just used a regular razor and some lotion. I took my time and went slowly. The first couple of times I shave my testicles with a razor it was a bit nerve-racking. That was many years ago now. I rarely think about a cut anymore. Again, I just take my time, make sure the shave lotion is all over, and then go for it.

I shaved my butt crack a couple times. As hairyuncut84 mentions, when it starts growing back, the stubble is very annoying with each step you take. That's why I stopped shaving the crack, but continue to shave my ballsack and shaft. When I shaved the crack I would squat over a hand mirror that was laying on the floor, and that gave me a clear view of my crack and anus lips which you want to navigate carefully because they are more easily cut than the surrounding skin.

Shave every day or, at least every other day, while in the shower. Takes 30 seconds once you get used to it and whatever you miss today will fall to the razor tomorrow.

Since I can’t sugar my crack, I just shave it. I use Gillette’s body razor with adequate amounts of cream. (Plus I kind of like the tingling sensation from the cream.)

I have a handheld mirror that I use to make sure that I get them all. I’m not hairy anyway so this process is pretty easy.

I've never bothered with a mirror, just use touch. I kind of bend over in the shower and pull one ass cheek over with a hand; this opens me up for better access to the opposite side with the razor. Then swap over to do the other side of my hole. I rarely miss any hairs these days

Regarding your other question - like you I'm pretty hairy, and used to worry a bit about the contrast in appearance between my shaved cock and my hairy body. But then I started trimming my body hair (chest and belly), and I really like the look!

Usually I use a new razor and squat in the shower. Using lots of soap I use one hand to feel my hole and where it needs to be shaved. Love the smoothness and the clean feeling it gives.

I've never done it. Personally, I don't have much hair down there worth shaving but do see why some dudes may want to do it. The one suggestion that @uncutnhard threw out there sounds like the best way to do it.

I like seeing fuzzy butts on guys but do know that toppinh a tight smooth hole feels better than an extremely hairy one. Some hair is actually not a bad thing (IMO).

Yes, I shave my cock shaft, balls, and about an inch above my cock. I do shave my ass using my wife's razor. There seems to be a bit more protection on a woman's razor and I've never cut myself. It is a little uncomfortable when the hair starts to grow back.
