Shaving

Shaving is funny! From the age of 12, Ive had pubes. Too be honest, I didnt think much about them, they were just...there! When I was 22, I had a vascetomy, and I was told Id have to shave my scrotum and most of my groin. My wife LOVED IT!! So, Ive kept it shaved down there ever since (Im now 36). I love the look I have, shaved balls, groin with just a perfectly neat triangle of pubes above my penis. Oh, and my heavy guage piercing to top it off!

and i really dont shave tha rest of my body. i never really grew alotta chest hair, my leg hair stops bout halfway up my thigh so i dont shave it, but i trim my facial hair and i got dreadlocks so i dont cut the hair in my head

So interesting how trimming/shaving has become de rigeur for men. It's definitely the fashion of the times but it certainly wasn't always, and not even that long ago. Who decided and how did the word spread that that was the thing to do?

Actually it was a custom among many so-called "primitive" tribal groups for a over a thousand years. The reasons were pretty much the same: It was custom and it was cleaner that way.

I've been shaving for ten years at least and never missed the hair. Normally i'd have lots of heavy curly hair there (i'm black) and down here in the summer that can get hot and sweaty. Without it, it's cool and clean.

People (i think) make too much of a science of it, however: nair, neet, etc. The first shave is the roughest. But after that, do it every day, even for the most microscopic stubble. Just a light pass of a dry razor, two minutes. That way you won't have the problem of red bumps, and hair growing back into the skin.

While this question has been answered before ...I will give you all my take on the whole subject.
The best way to to remove unwanted body hair would be to have it waxed off. As most men cannot stand the pain of having the hair pulled out by the root, they will shave instead.
The best place to shave would be in the shower. Let the warm water flow over you body to soften up your hair. Just like when you shave your face. Apply your shave cream, or soap. Allow it to set for a few moments. This will help soften the hair even more. Shave the hair off in the direction it grows. Just like shaving your face. After a few time the red bumps will no longer occur. The skin has to adjust to having the razor dragged across it. In the mean time, just apply some anit itch cream to the red places and you will be OK.
Hope this will help....but I do recommend having it waxed off. I have my whole body done during the spring and summer months. It's much easier and last longer.:laola:
