I’m not paying that much either, but as stated upthread, he doesn’t have to engage with his fans in those pics like he does. What we have here is a guy that is very kind with his fanbase, ok. But he does not (for PR reasons, I do believe) take part in not a single thing that could benefit the comunity, not only the ones that manage to get close to him and get a picture.

Going back to Bob, this 79yo (I think he was 77 or 78 at the time) participated in a special album called Universal Love where he sings "Hes Funny That Way"
Now look at how private this guy has been for all his life. Shawn is not private at all and yet seems to be quiet when he could be a nice voice to speak about that. Hell, if he doesnt want to talk about LGBTQ rights maybe just toxic masculinity, but no.

The problem for you is that in that scenario, you'd be the prosecution. Being an ally is not a default state. You're the one claiming he varies from the default state, so you need to prove it, the same way that the prosecution needs to prove that someone is guilty.

Him talking about having friends in the closet and seeing the hurt it causes them proves nothing. Just having gay friends does not make someone an ally. Actively fighting for LGBT rights is what makes someone an ally. So you need to prove he has actively fought for rights and equality for LGBT people.
