Should he ask for your number?

this is a hypothetical situation, but if a guy or girl has asked me out and i have accepted then we exchange numbers. done deal.

that said i am super shitty with the phone. i HATE the 24/7 accessibility of cell phones. i HATE HATE HATE it. so any person that is close to me knows this and knows the best way to get in touch with me is by a text message (i never check my voicemail, never, unless i know i need to for some reason) and even then sometimes i don't answer for days. that's just the way it is for me. i get frustrated with people that expect me to be at their beck and call. i just hate being pegged down like that.

You and I would so get along.

Usually when I meet a guy I have to chat with them hang out and we exchange numbers and it’s a mutual thing. But I wait for him to call. There was one case in my life when I called first.

A follow up question that I think relates. How long do you think someone should wait to call? We've all seen/heard of the cliche scene of the shy guy debating whether or not he should call, is it too soon etc.

I think like a day seems reasonable?? Especially if you hit it off super well.
