Slapping and/ or Spanking

On threads here on LPSG and elsehwere, video clips of doggy style hetro sex often feature the male slapping or spanking the woman's buttocks/fanny enthusiastically as he approaches climax. I tried that recently with my wife and her reaction was, to put it mildly. something less than positive. I almost ended up spending the next week on the living room couch.

So here's my question to LPSG readers: men do you slap or spank your wife as part of your routine sex and how does your partner react? Women: how do you feel about being slapped or spanked?

how hard did you smack? lol did you spank her very hard?

i do slap on the butt cheeks but not very hard. just enough to make a noise but not hard enough to make the skin turn red, never really heard any complaints...
