    Occasionally, it's nice to lose all the lights n stuff for a while - kinda peaceful and liberating.

    Unless you've got loads of expensive stuff in the fridge, that's startin to defrost cos you've got no power, lol. :(

    One of the strangest feelings is being in a big city in complete blackout. We usually have some power after hurricanes, but I've been in complete darkness and silence in the middle of town before, too.

    Sounds like you made the best of it!
