I find it amazing that someone would pay good money, just to go see a film,
about which they aren't EVEN interested in the subject matter, just for one single
goal: TO SEE A BULGE IN A COSTUME!

Check out ebay, just put in "Spiderman Costume" to be totally amazed!
Before I get flamed for this post, I do have the first film on DVD, but I have yet
to see the second one.
Also, I must admit that the costume is cool, and I have also bid on one on ebay.
I'm not trying to be a hypocrite, I'm just saying that I wouldn't pay to see a
film with that I had no interest in, just to look at someones bulge!
I intend to the SM2, when it comes to my small town.
Why not just wait 'till it comes out on video? That's a lot cheaper than spending
7 bucks or whatever for about 5 to 15 seconds of veiwing something that cannot
even be verified.

Oh, that reminds me of a now-defunct Megaman parody where he goes to jail (animal rights violations for killing all those robotic animals [And if you've ever played Megaman, you know about the minor enemies being shaped like animals.]) and Dr. Wily's his inmate. Anyway, Wily makes prison-inspired robots like Bubba Man, Yomomma Man, Toilet Man, etc. Anyway, one of them is Obviously Compensating For Something Man. (Heh. With Flash Man, Wood Man and Hard Man, the games themselves provide enough dirty jokes. Hard Man even looks kinda like a giant penis.)
Shy-Guy27: i happen to be a personal fan of Spider-Man as a character and an even bigger fan of the two movies thus far. Just goes to show what happens when you hire for talent instead of "bang-for-the-buck". I mean, with few exceptions, everyone has won with these two movies:
Sam Raimi- A talented directior who has remained true to the vision that has kept fans reading the comics for decades while 'tweaking' it for the modern age. He has made the souls/hearts of even Spidey's most hard core fans sour with pride and joy as the "comicbook-movie genre" has finally been mainstreamed and legitimized as never before. And in return, our rspectable Mr. Raimi had been granted a well earned place among Hollywood's powerhouse director elite. Bravo, Mr. Raimi, exceptional job well done!
Tobey Maguire- Previously categorized as "up-and-coming", "arthouse-style", and a host of adjectives that sound good but usually mean "blip-on-the-radar". I must admit that i had never thought of him as attractive. However, that changed for me (and the rest of the world) in one night thanks to his own hard work, a spectacular costume design, and what is destined to be a legendary scene of examining his fantastic new physique in a mirror. And in exchange for his shining performance as the every-man's superhero, young Mr. Maguire was embraced by us all and rocketed from semi-star to superstar. i mean, honestly, who could now seriously imagine anyone else in the tights......I mean role. And what makes him so admirable is that he shows absolutely no signs of ego to date. Congratulations, Tobey, we all respect and admire you for not only your on-screen prowess, but your admirability as a person.
All that being said, I'd tend to believe that Tobey Maguire is hung. "Why", you ask? I'll tell you. Simply because for the most part, whenever he's questioned about his "largeness", he usually demures. Quite simply, he doesn't brag himself up. Tobey Maguire is handsome with his average guy looks. But, when he's on the screen as Spidey, he simply lets the costume do the talking. I mean, c'mon! What admirer of Tobey didn't get at least a little aroused at seeing him flex in the mirror. And anyone who saw Spider-Man 2 saw that, even though he wasn't erect, Tobey Maguire was quite large, even while it was being restrained by those tights. Ever since these movies, I've become quite a fan of Tobey Maguire.
