mainstream straight porn is all about objectifying the women to appeal to the fantasies of the men watching and that audience is very vocal about the angles used during filming. there's a strong demand to eliminate the male talent from view as much as possible. i get that to a certain extent. almost all the porn i watch is for a specific performer or sex act so i want them/that featured as heavily as possible and everything else to be minimized.

I've actually read a lot of complaints from straight porn enthusiasts on porn forums regarding the angles.

I'm not sure how much they reflect mainstream taste though since anyone who spends that much time discussing and thinking about porn is probably not in the mainstream of things.
