I honestly don't think that initially he thought that this was dangerous, or perhaps he was an adrenaline junkie and was blinded by the ecstasy he experienced by the sex and money drug deals. To me, it's clear he could have easily attracted gay men, if he wanted to. And some of the guys he got with probably were closer to gay but he labeled everything straight or bi curious. That was attractive to him. He probably attracted some gay-leaning dudes but he was hunting for straight guys.

I do think some things in Central America were exaggerated a bit, because the difference there is that guys were getting paid. So he would have one encounter, and then suddenly that guy's friend wants involved, and then their third friend wants involved. I haven't been through every video, but part of the reason I am so fascinated is because he narrated just about every one. How much was true is up for debate but there was clearly a good amount of truth to the way he presented things based on conversations and he also wasn't afraid to post videos when his plan didn't work out as intended. He also shared details about being in trouble and that's when he really seemed to be totally involved in this lifestyle, embracing it even. But that could also be because he lost everything else in his life by fleeing.

I would not assume anything about why he was murdered, and I also wouldn't trust the words of the suspect. 14 stab wounds is extreme no matter the reasoning. It's very easy to say "oh it must have been drugs or gang related" but keep in mind he was flaunting money at these guys all over the place. Not a smart thing to do no matter where you are in the world. There are places in the US where I won't even take my phone out of my pocket.

He even put in evidence a member of the Nicaraguan army, Jorge! That is why I say that the had a godfather, a protector, in Nicaragua. Now, why Central America? Why not Mexico, which is closer to Canada? He drove all the way from Canada to Central America!
