Do you think tattoos are very attractive to you on arms or upper shoulders at least...do you personally find them attractive or not...I mean, we do see everyday guys, celebs, and even porn stars that support some tattoos. Do you think it's attractive or not? Discuss.

I've never seen a naked body that was improved by a tattoo. They're so childish.

I used to dislike tattoos until a few years ago. I decided to get one just to give myself a little bit of "edge". It wasn't a very painful thing and I ended up getting two more. The only negative I feel about a guy with tats is when they have a huge amount of their body covered and all of the images seem random. I stuck to a theme with my three(all mythological creatures)

yes for a guy. no for a girl. sorry for the predjudice, just my opinion. a tat on a guy makes him look tough, but dont go overboard. if you are ugly, painting yourself up from top to bottom is like taking a paint brush to an outhouse. in the end, it is still an outhouse.

on a female, it looks slutty and trashy.

Well done body art is attractive where ever it is on the body. Some of that is quite startling!! Poorly done artwork is hardly ever attractive. If there is a story behind poor art, then it gets respect, but not admiration.

I saw a great tatt on a guy at a Chargers game this past season- it was the outline of the State of California, with a star where San Diego is, all on his right arm. It was hot. I wanna get something like that for my sides.

Coming from someone who has full sleeves and a chest piece I obviously find them attractive, but it's all about placement, quality and the concepts.
I mostly date men who are heavily tattooed, only because I've found dating guys without them use me as a "trophy" or a conquest.

I realize some guys find tattoos on girls trashy or slutty, to each their own. It doesn't affect my desire to get more.

I have a full back, foot, bum cheek, thigh, shoulder, groin, both sides and inner arm so i would say yes they are attractive.....on some people maybe not but then some don't have them for attractiveness (?) value but for other reasons...like me though obviously i think they look fabulous.

Though i have had every inane, nasty, insulting comments going re: them i couldnt care less what anyone thinks of me and my ink.

i find tribal/celtic and the like, very hot on tan muscular guys...same with body hair, on pale scrawny or chubby guys it's not appealing....and i'm a pale chubby guy

Russian criminal tattoos are HOT! I mean the real camp tattoos done in the homemade bluish-gray ink...
There's nothing hotter to me than a heavily tattoed Russian...

I definitely find tattoos attractive if they fit the body like iheartlatex said. Properly thought out and properly applied ink can really accentuate what's already there even if it's not done for beautification. Ladies, fly your art proudly.

Mine don't make me any better looking. :biggrin1: For me, they are an illustrated history of my life. My wife is inked as well and her's (though small) is stunning in its meaning. I find that particularly sexy.

FIRST you need to really think of what you are going to get tatted on you. dont do it on impulse. I thought all of mine out, i have 9 all tribal and 1 celtic, mine are all upper body and not gangster trash tats. i have an armband thats tribal, and a sun thats tribal, as well as other tribal/celtic, mine are all pretty much hidden with just a tshirt, so i am white collar here and cant show them off, i want a sleeve but would have to wear long sleeva all the time, so yeah tats r hot. on women some is ok but not alot and no tramp stamp

It depends on the person and the tattoo. If it's part of a theme, I think they can look great on men and women. What really turns me off is when it looks like a toddler has been playing with ink stamps while mum or dad was asleep and they've got something tribal here, a tacky star there, a quote from Shakespeare on their left shoulder and something in Japanese, Hebrew or Hindi somewhere else.

Tats can accentuate a body if they're well thought out, but so many people seem to think, "I've got a space there. What will fit?" or even worse, "Such and such a celebrity has this tat. I'll get one in the same spot," and then a few weeks later they find out that some other celebrity has a different tatto somewhere else and they have to copy that one too.

I keep thinking about getting inked, but I haven't been able to choose between a number of themes, and I'm not going to do anything until I'm sure of what I want and where.
