i've always wondered just how much a guy's height/size is related to his penis size. you tend to hear how much bigger a big dick will look on a small guy than a tall guy.

then i realized something. most people would say that a penis on a guy who's 6'6" will look much, much smaller than a guy who is 6' or especially 5'6" but in really, if a 6 foot tall guy has a 6 inch penis, the exact proportional equivalent on a 6'6" (or 6.5) ft. tall guy would be 6.5 inches... and the equivalent on a 5'6" (5.5) ft. tall guy would be 5.5 inches. so these aren't hugely significant.

the ratio then from 5'6" to 6 feet is .916/1, so let's say you see a penis on a guy that appears 9 inches in length based on a comparitive male height of 6 feet... and people point out "well he's not much taller than that female porn star though, maybe 5'6", so that thing could be like slightly above average and just look huge" really, his size would then be 9 x .917 or 8.25 inches, not even remotely approaching average.

Yeah, it's interesting... Usually the probability for a large penis is even bigger the taller the guy is. If you could say that the average penis is about 6 inches (15 cm) and the average height is around 5'10 (178 cm), you can go from there and find out where you are. Me myself is pretty short in height, 5'7 or 170 cm tall, but I have a 7 inch cock, so my dick would of course look bigger on me than a guy that has an above average height. okay i need to clarify... this thread has nothing to do with *predictable* proportions or body growth correlations. i'm not saying anything about tall guys being bigger or small guys smaller.

i'm only talking about visual *perception* of size.

i'm not denying that fact, but that's a pretty extreme example. i simply broke it down to numbers, because i think the size of the guy is LESS of a factor than people seem to think. that's all.

my 2 cents are this, seems to be a thing with skinny guys holding long tools, you can see this in a lot of porn and i have heard A LOT of this with several women i know and women they know, yeah yeah yeah, its not a definition that all skinny guys are hung, but biochemical make up may allow for this to happen due to growth hormones and aminos that may be directed more towards the penis then other body parts when in puberty.
I have also read that when guys use this theory of replicating your biochemical make up of when you hit puberty it gives you a better advantage to PE. But then again, what works for some, wont work for all.

You raise a good point here and I find it an interesting topic for a thread. Consider this though: you're right stating that the ratio between the heights of a 5'6" guy to a 6' guy is .916/1 and that in turn this is not a significant ratio (8.4%). And you are right in the 9" compared to 8.25" comparison you made and how neither of these will look anywhere near average.

However, your neglecting two things: 1.) the marginal difference between "just over seven inches" and " just below eight inches" and the fact that these would better demonstrate the phenomenon you are looking into, and 2.) the massive difference in the probability of these two lengths due to the normal distribution that all studies show.

As to the first point, don't use averages (like 6") or extremes (like 9") but use numbers along the edge of the probability curve, for example: compare 7.2" to 7.9". One is just over 7 and one is pretty much 8. They are .7 inches difference from one another, which really isn't that much. In fact, its even less of a size difference than the 8.25 to 9 that you used as an example before (.75). However, when you look at porn or "big" guys, they are by far likely within this range. This is a major porn trick: a guy just over 7" who is short appears to be huuuuge. (e.g. most of the guys in "Pornstars like it big")

Second, consider the difference in the statistical probability of the two numbers. Since size has a normal distribution, it becomes exponentially less likely that anyone has even seen someone of a certain size as you get longer and longer. Based on the Lifestyles data, someone with a 7.2" dick is larger than about 92% of men (8 out of 100) and someone just about 8" is larger than about 99% of men (1 out of 100). So, if a woman has 13 partners (actually 12.5), she is likely to run into a guy who is 7.2". But that same woman would need to have about 100 partners before she ran into a guy of about 8". Thats a huge difference and just enough for someone to say that the first guy is big and the second guy is huge. Its the difference between her almost surely having enough sexual partners to run into someone of the first size, and needing to have nearly 200 different partners to even see more than one in a lifetime of the second size (averages of course, all personal experiences vary).

Thats the catch, its not a ratio but an exponential difference in likelihood which makes them appear so different. Based upon the numbers above: a 5'6" with a just over seven inch dick could look just as big as a 6' tall guy with an eight inch dick...And the difference in the liklihood of someone seeing the first to the liklihood of seeing the second is huge. And considering that most people don't measure there partners or can't measure guys in porn, its enough of a difference to make an impression and cause the mind to wander.

Tho I'm 6 feet tall, I'm long waisted with relatively short legs (inseam, 30 inches). In the mirror and pics, I generally look larger than 8 X 6 and I attribute it to having a small waist (30 inches) with a nice V-taper.
