There are many uses for AI, but as usual, we humans will always pander to sex.
I, personally, am not the biggest fan of AI but i guess that we already made nuclear bombs so what's the worst that could happen...
Something that really icks me is the use of AI in porn, specially deepfakes and/or completely changing someone's face and/or bodyparts to fit what you wanted it to look like. There are many, more aggravating, examples of this happening in this rabbit hole that the pornography world is, that you can catch if you have a keen eye or just happen to recognize an altered image.
An example, of many, that activated an uncanny valley feeling to me and acted as an instant turn-off was this edited image of a +18 content creator (That has raised to the top of my favorite list for years, now) DeletablePurple, mind you, this man is beautiful, body and face, yet, someone felt the need to "touch up" for who knows what reason.
Some may even say AI is harmless, but to have an image to create, it has to feed somewhere.
This thread is to get to know the people's opinions on AI and how it affects the +18 scene, where we want to see beautiful bodies and share what gets that primal spark in our brain.
Is it harmless? Is it at prelude of darker times? Who knows...

For me, I’m an AI cynic and skeptic, even a hater, but I’m also getting older and recognize that it’s possible a) the best songs that will ever be written may have already been written, and b) the best natural porn that will ever be filmed may have already been filmed.

We're only just now seeing the mainstream birth of AI even though it's been there for decades. So it's normal that everyone is excited and overdoing it. It's a trend and an innovation that will peak and flatten out, like every other trend and innovation in history (the wheel, the printing press, mainstream books, electricity, radio, TV, internet etc).

By way of those examples, it's not going to disappear, just create an industry of its own and be a support to do other things.

What relates to porn, it's going to become a category of its own just as was animated or 3D porn. Those for example didn't create unrealistic standards or practices for people in sex. People will always prefer the realer thing but some will want the escape to AI porn just as you want the escape to a kinky practice that you enjoy in porn but not in real life (like gangbangs in my case. I think it's pretty clear that porn is about to be taken over almost completely by AI, although there will be some exceptions.

If you think that porn has to be real people, it helps to remember that porn has existed for thousands of years and it's only the last 100 years that it consisted of photography of real people. Prior to that, porn was art, and men jerked off to it just fine. Even as recently as World War 2, some of the most popular “pinup girls” were illustrations rather than photographs, such as the Vargas Girls, and men went nuts for them. So the belief that people will not respond to models who are not actual people is just historically incorrect.

In addition, the production values of most porn, at least gay male porn, has been traditionally very low, and it’s gotten much worse in the era of OnlyFans. By production values, I mean photography, lighting, staging, directing, and the sex appeal, star power and charisma of the actors, etc.

But with AI, the production values can be spectacularly high. I'm a TV director, and I can testify that it takes hours on a television or movie set to achieve the kind of lighting and staging that you can do in AI with the click of a button. And for free!

So I don't think traditional pornographers will be able to compete with AI. And there will be very few aspiring actors who will measure up to the physical perfection, however you define it, that AI can produce.
