Conrad Veidt

Beautiful and mesmerising in German silent movies. Fled the Nazis and settled first in Gt Britain, and then in Hollywood, where he was probably best-known for playing Major Strasser in Casablanca (1942).

According to Wikipedia, Veidt was bisexual, which just sends my mind off into wild fantasies.

Footnote...

Conrad Veidt's appearance in the 1928 German expressionist movie The Man Who Laughs is often credited as the inspiration for the character of The Joker in Batman.

In case anyone is unaware, the movie was based on a play by the same name about a woman and her two lovers who live together since she can't decide between the two. While both men love the same woman, it's also suggested that the men have an attraction toward each other but, in the movie, that plot suggestion is totally removed with the men only having a platonic friendship.
