Should’ve sung to you too!
Omg. You know, last year, a guy had such a runaround by Workman’s Comp Board that he actually set himself on fire outside their office. A bit extreme, but seriously - people kind got why he did it. The screw ups, red tape, bazillion assessments, total lack of respect for people who get injured on the job....yeah, setting oneself on fire sort of makes sense after awhile. It gets worse/more annoying
They told me that I didn't need to schedule a follow up the first time I was looked at. When I was seen today, they told me that was incorrect. I should have had a follow up scheduled. Someone at the company I'm employed by gave me bad information today, too. They said I could go to any urgent care place. Nope, I was supposed to go to the same company, so I wasted an Uber ride. Then I go to a branch of the same company as the place I was seen the first time, but closer to home and they said I'm really only supposed to go to a single location, so the state can know who to communicate with (due to it being a work injury o guess?). So I swapped that location to being my primary.
I have no idea when I'll be able to go to a physical therapist, between now and my next doctor's appointment on the 18th. Specifically a hand/wrist/arm specialist. The ones I have looked up online so far all are open during the hours I work, pretty much. Yay.
Shhhhh.....*LaFemme closes the door, tiptoes away and flies back to Canada in her invisible plane*Now I can go to sleep

He didn’t die. Was just scorched. Security was on him very quickly. He decided on a permanent solution to a short term issue or problem.
Not being judgmental, but my opinion is that there were a great many issues involved in his decision.
All of The above...finally going to sleep..
glumpy... glumpy and still a natural predator.
We all do things on spur of the moment and regret it laterHe didn’t die. Was just scorched.
Pretty sure he regretted it. He made some statement about his extreme frustration with the system. I’m sure mental health was involved, too, but WCB is notorious for being red tape heavy and treating everyone like a criminal. We all do things on spur of the moment and regret it later

First of all, I wasn’t making a judgment on the man who covered himself in lighter fluid out of frustration - he obviously had mental health issues. I was making a judgment on the system that wasn’t helping him.Kindly don’t consider this harsh, the person has now to his personal/mental health issues. They will only grow with age and lack of acceptance. I’ve been through it with my nephew- Dx’d w/ ADHD, then ADD followed by both with. a LD- was pushed out of high school, held a job at UPS for 1-1/2-3/4’s of a years then a complete blowout. Full blown bi-polar with hallucinogenic tendencies. He couldn’t take an easy way out and we won’t either regarding his health and being. Many assumptions can be made about treatment, the only prescription is in your heart and values- not religious, medical or spiritual.....though we are 2 of the 3, but not rollers.
