Regardless of the policies of the network, working for them doesn't make him a bad person. They offered him production deals along with acting jobs. Perhaps something he wasn't able to get at Hallmark.

Again, this is Yanni's response, not Trevor's. Trevor has no opinion on Kal Penn's marriage. That's not to say he doesn't care about gay people. It's just not something that would be on his radar whatsoever. He's an incredibly, sympathetic, compassionate, hard-working dude, who loves the outdoors and getting high.
An actor's exposure and reach on social media has become vital to their employment. There's zero evidence to support this ridiculous requirement, but that hasn't stopped the people in charge of hiring talent. So, Yanni manages and maintains Trevor's position on social media and non face-to-face interaction with fans to keep Trevor's numbers up. Yanni is just doing his job. He makes bad choices sometimes, more often than not, lately. But all the hate, or hurt, or shock, or betrayal directed toward Trevor is so wrong, so unfair and so foolish. Social media is a marketing tool designed to look like journalism and small town news. Whether it's for a product, politics, or a person's ego - every post on social media is a commercial. Some are more subtle than others, some more clever, but all of them have the same goal - look at me, talk about me, like and subscribe. Don't buy into it.

1) where is your direct evidence that this tweet (and even that other IG reply that was shared here) are not written by Trevor but rather this Yanni person?
2) do you read minds? How else then would you be able to say if Trevor agrees with the tweet or not or "doesn't care about Kal Penn"? Are you his personal friend?
3} If Trevor really isn't the one behind these tweets and messages. Why is he allowing his account to be used to "say" things which he doesn't agree with?

Yes. I am personal friends with Trevor and Yanni. Have been for almost 20 years. As for the "evidence" you require, how exactly would that work? How can anyone prove they did or did not write a tweet? I suppose everyone who tweets could place a camera over their shoulder, occasionally glancing back at the lens as they type out their message, maybe giving a wave now and then before they hit send. Seems like a hassle. And... isn't that Youtube? The only other way would be for Trevor to call a press conference and publicly state for the record his tweets are done by Michael Yanni. Again, seems like a hassle, and entirely counter-intuitive. As for why Trevor allows Yanni to manage his socials, that one I can't answer. But if Yanni didn't do it, Trevor would not have any social media. He's not interested in any of it. As I said, the social media game is very important to the folks who make casting decisions. They want to know the actors they cast will promote their work and expand their advertising range... at no cost to them. If you're in Yanni's position, who only makes money when Trevor works, it makes a lot of sense to maintain a strong social media presence. Now, up until the GAC crap came along, all Yanni had to do was post movie quotes and pics of Trevor with his dogs, or with his shirt off, and whenever Trevor's latest movie was airing. He didn't post about politics or LGBTQ related stuff. Very rarely maybe, but it was always supportive. I hope I've addressed your questions to your satisfaction.
Now, I have a few questions for you.
1) Where is your direct evidence to prove I'm lying?
2) Why not try following my advice for a day or two and consider the effect social media is having on all of us? It's not good.
3) Is this innocuous back and forth really worth your time and brain energy?

This is not a criticism of Trevor but how many of the same, formulaic Christmas movies can Hallmark keep making? Apparently, there is enough of an audience that watch them religiously to keep them coming each year.
