Tribute

A man just posted that it’s projection and he’d “enjoy/endure the privilege” of objectification that we as women go through on a daily basis. (Sorry, dude, but your post will be deleted shortly.)

That’s a huge difference between men and women. It’s no privilege to be objectified. To be treated as a thing and not a person. Perhaps if men had to endure the loss of their maleness, and were treated like things instead of people, such a statement would never be made - not even jokingly. Only someone with an immense amount of personal privilege and no experience with loss of status purely based on sex could make a statement like that.
He should tell it to D'Angelo, world-famous R&B singer who was living the rock star life. How'd he feel about women objectifying him? How'd he feel about women more or less telling him his (beautiful) music was secondary to his sexy body, dehumanizing him day in, day out through words and deed? He demolished his career, developed several drug addictions, gained 175 pounds of fat, and nearly died. Yeah. My impression is that men only think they can handle this life.
