Virtual Roommates

So, feeling a little isolated with covid and thought I'd like to kinda cultivate a sense of sharing my daily life with someone, as though we were roommates or brothers maybe. To me that probably means something like snapping each other as we do parts of our daily routine (wake up, use bathroom, brush teeth, ...) or are starting different activities, like could be good for productivity to have to tell someone if you are working or if you are goofing off. Maybe another thing to try is background video calls, where we do our own thing but check in once in a while and keep our cameras on. Pretty open to whatever in this space.

Right now I'm most interested in trying this with folks who identify as straight and are around my age, but anyone can post here if they are looking for something similar.

Hmm this is interesting im curious how this would work? I mean its a great way to possibly get to know someone from a different part of the world and might be nice in this pandemic. I get you, before covid I was always over a friends like I lived there. now I have seen them once since the pandemic started.

I think different people could test different things, report back what works- gave some ideas I'm down to try above. But idk really what would be best. The feeling of being in the same space as someone is hard to replicate, but seems worth trying imo.

That's a pretty great idea for these times of isolation.

It wouldn't work out for me now, since I'm in isolation with my kind rather jealous bf (plus you said you're aiming preferably for straight buddies, which seems very fair).

Anyway, I sure hope you find a mate for that, and I'd enjoy having that kind of mate too in the future
