WARNING:Gay-torrents.net Compromised

I love their site. I seed so much to the point where I don't even think about seeding because my ratio is like above 2.0 while gaytor.rent site I have a harder time to seed.
Yeah same. I've trying to get my ratio up to at least 1.0 just by downloading and seeding freeleech. There are many 1.0GB + files that I'd like to download but I'm always worried it'll bring my ratio down. But on Gay-Torrents, I can download freely as I please because it seems easier to gain seed points.

This was posted today on their forum

What we now know:

Yesterday, the gay-torrents.net domain DNS servers were renamed/redirected (hacked) without our authorisation. This manifested to our members by people gradually being unable to log-in, view the site, view images, and then, these changes prevented communication with the tracker.

The site databases have not been compromised, and the site and tracker are still functioning as normal, though as the DNS changes have rendered most peers unable to see the torrent content, connect, seed/leech, etc, we have temporarily prevented access to the torrent index.

We are currently waiting for the appropriate authorities to restore the correct DNS servers - they have been aware of the problem since this time yesterday.

As to how this affects you:

It is important that all members use effective anti-virus and other browser-related protection technologies. As is common in this situation, the domain hijackers have been attempting to phish log-in details as people try to log in. This might involve being sent to other porn/spam sites, or being directed to a blank page. We must assume that some of their attempts have been successful.

If you have been directed to these places before logging in, or been given AV or browser warnings preventing you from doing so, you should be reassured.

If you have successfully logged in to gay-torrents.net and then been transferred to other sites (instead of ours), and you do not have AV or other system protection, did not receive any warnings, you should consider changing your password once we can confirm the DNS issues have been resolved, and site access fully restored.

We apologise for this disruption, which has clearly been beyond our control.

Good looking out OP!

As for having trouble raising their ratio there is a free leech section where you can download anything without affecting your ratio and it can also help raise it if you download a very popular torrent like atm someone made a free leech of BCH videos and it actively seeding like crazy since yesterday.

Ugh - this is not what I need right now. Had my external HD crash so lost all that I had downloaded from both Gay-torrents and gaytor.rent from the past year and am in the middle of rebuilding it. But I'm quite thankful this forum exists to know there's an issues - and that I've now found it!

And concur with @NickDirty that the best way to boost your gaytor.rent ratio is to grab freeleech torrents and just let them seed. For a bit I grabbed stuff I didn't actually want, but it had a low seed to leech ratio that gave me boosts.

And don't forget that they grant bonus points just for having torrents seeding. Wait til you have 600 points and then cash in for the 10 GB upload option!

the only thing i don't like about this site is its search function.
It took me ages to work out the search function, but if you want to search for someone using both names, i.e John Smith, you type +John +Smith rather than just John Smith.
Happy searching when it is back!

"john Smith" also works.
