In my opinion there's two defintions of "big": 1.) the subjective, personal opinion of a particular individual (otherwise known as bullshit), or, 2.) the factual, empirically proven results of an unbiased study

The best response here is from Stevenvegas from the first page, as he's quoting a small (300 men) but accurate study.

The first definition of big; an individuals personal definition, is usually so skewed from reality that its depressing. Example: me and a good friend of mine were hanging out with a group of mutual friends last weekend. One was a girl/woman of about 30 years old. She's reasonably attractive, and I've known her for a while and know for a fact that shes been with a good amount of different men (guessing at least 20 - 30). My buddy asked her "what's average" she said "i dunno, like 7 inches". Then he asked her whats big. She said "over 10 inches". If you haven't noticed whats wrong with this picture you may as well stop reading...I don't chalk this up to women being bad at measuring things, or that shes actually been with bigger (alot bigger)than average guys. Its more simple than that: as Jordan85 suggested; every guy who is about average says he is 7" 'cause its a respectable size according to popular opinion. So to her, all of the average guys shes been with were 7" or so. Then, to determine "big" its a simple tendency to add 2 or 3 inches to this figure as its not much extra when measuring any other object, but enough to be noticably larger. She may have even been with an 7.5 or 8" guy who said he was 10 or 12 or some other ridiculous number.

The second definition of big, a.k.a reality says this:

Length:
Tiny/micropenis...............< 3.8"
Small.............................3.8" to 4.6"
Below average.................4.6" to 5.5"
Average.........................5.5" to 6.3" (true average = 5.9")
Above average................6.3" to 7.1"
Big................................7.1" to 8"
Huge.............................> 8"

Consider this:
95% of all men are between 4.3" and 7.5"
50% of all men are between 5.5" and 6.3"
67% of all men are smaller than 6.3"
84% of all men are smaller than 6.7"
92% of all men are smaller than 7.1"
99% of all men are smaller than 8"
1 in 1,000 men are greater than 8.3"

Girth:
Tiny..........................< 3.65"
Small.........................3.65" to 4.15"
Just below average......4.15" to 4.65"
Average.....................4.65" to 5.15" (actual average = 4.9")
Just above average......5.15" to 5.65"
Big............................5.65" to 6.15"
Huge.........................> 6.15"

Everyone should listen to this man, he is telling you the truth 100%! Good to hear from someone who is living in reality every now and then!

eightandahalfbysix put it best...there's big by the numbers and big by perception. by the numbers, i'm somewhat over the statistical average (7x5.5). not overly impressive or rare based on empirical data. but every girl i've been with or who's seen it, soft or hard, whether we were fooling around, skinny dipping or i just whipped it out in a game of truth or dare has said it's big/large/huge/massive/etc. there's a world of difference between above average and huge, in my book. so which is more important? empirical data, which can only gauge numerically where you stand in comparison to other penis sizes, or the perception and preference of your target audience? like in high school when i once skipped algebra to make out backstage, i'll take girls over math anyday. ;)

7=Big

That made my day. :biggrin1: That was funny.

Anyway, from what I have read in other places, women in general, (not counting size queens), give more credit to men and would consider 6" to be big. Men call that average. In other words, generally speaking, what women consider big, men consider smaller.

I think that's because women don't typically wipe out a ruler to measure. Their "measurements" tend to add a dose of emotion and how they feel about the owner to the equation.

That's so true sir. I always tell people if you have 6 or more you are good. I am 7.5-8 inch length and 5.5 mid shat girth and 6.5 at the base.

Bone pressed does make sense, because that's how far you could insert it. Even if you are fat, the layers of fat will compress somewhat.
Bone pressed is NOT all that can be inserted...all that can be inserted is what you see when you are hard...and even then I can really insert balls deep...Bone pressed adds another half inch or so of BULLSHIT.

I think a lot has to do with the body it is attached to. There is a reason porn stars are all super short guys. A 6" cock on a guy who is 5'3" looks a lot bigger than a 6" cock on a guy who is 6'3." Also I think girth plays a huge factor. I knew a guy who's cock was like 5x6. The head was like an apple. It was NOT a long cock by any means but anyone who looks at it says its huge and can barely fit in their mouth! So... I look at the whole package, length, girth, and the size of the guy its attached to! In my head I don't like to toss around how many inches is big, but I like the categories of Small, Medium, Large, XL or Monstercock. I guess if I were to assign inches, your cock at 7.5" with normal girth would be Large. I think anything over 8.5" would be XL or Monstercock, unless it was like super thin. I guess now that I think about it, I would say as a generalization, 6"-8.5" would be considered large. Small would be anything smaller than 4"

I would say, if the gals wanted to know how big you were, you should feel VERY comfortable telling them its big, then proving it to them by showing and if they still say its not big, then shove 7.5" inside them and hear them go nuts with their orgasm!

And This

There will always be the problem of "Real Life Inches" and "Internet Inches", Until there is a standard measurement of volume via fluid displacement.
Lol
