Why so many misconceptions with girth?

Most people are already too stupid to know how to measure penis length properly but it's even worse with girth. The worst is when people estimate. This goes to both guys and girls. I remember some girl saying that "4 inch girth is the best!" and it was "the size of the bottom of a paper cut". No offense to whomever this might offend, but 4 inches isn't much at all and definitely nowhere near the bottom of a paper cup. Speaking of 4 inch girth, there were several females on here who measured their toys and found the girth was 4" (which is actually apparently the "standard" size for most dildos/vibrators/etc). Before they measured however I've seen some of these ladies guesstimate girth and come up with some very large numbers, which kind of throws everyone off and causes some morons to claim they have 7, 8, 9, etc. inches of girth. I've seen pictures of people here who's dick look slimmer than mine yet claim they have like 6" girth.

Okay, rant over. Feel free to post your real girth, whether it's your own penis or your toy if you're a lady.

My true girth on the dildo I have 6" I didn't dig out the old measuring tape to measure it. That's what it stated on the packaging. I purposely looked for the biggest girth I could find.

Understandable! I didn't mean to point the finger at you either way, nor do I even remember who was involved in talking about their toy's girth and what not. I guess I centered my attack towards women more because it's no surprise that men will just lie about their girth anyway.

4 inch diameter is going to be just as wrong.

I've noticed in some replies to this post ... claims of 7 inch girth, yet the tape measure shows a visible 2 1/4 or less inches. Which actually translates to a circumference/girth of 5 1/2 to 6 inches at best for a perfect circle. For those of you with tape measures ... set it at 7 1/2 inches, and into a perfect circle, and you can see what I'm talking about. When looking down you should see approximately 3 inches showing, with a diameter near 2 3/8 inches.

I've included some pics of myself to illustrate my point. Though not the best pics, they are genuine, and a full three inches are showing in the measure pic, and the in the other pic, holding my self up with a can of diet soda.

Sorry for the rant, I guess I'm just fed up with all the girth misrepresentation I see here.
