Women's Issues Random Thoughts

The Right, always wrong.
I used to have a similar bumper sticker on a previous car years ago that read "The Christian Right is Neither", until the car got vandalized by some inbreed denizen of my red state and I stopped putting political statements on vehicles. But I've reserved that stance and already added some pro-choice adornments as the time to be silent, polite and concerned about offending someone has now passed. I've had to look at enough "Trump 2024" stickers, confederate flags and hanging truck nuts on the road, so fuck them.

"Pro-coat hanger abortion" and "anti-choice" should be the labels of the "pro-life" lobby.

If they gave a fuck about life, they wouldn't be forcing hundreds of thousands of women into unsafe abortions and the medical dangers brought about by a forced birth. If they gave a fuck about life, they might actually care about health disparities that lead to higher mortality risks for marginalised women. If they gave a singular fuck about life, they might consider giving the offspring a decent chance in life with better education and healthcare. If they gave a solitary fuck about life, they might consider addressing the fact that there is no federal maternity leave in the US (six months paid is pretty much standard in western democracies). If they actually thought life were sacred, they wouldn't be in favour of the death penalty. It is a completely misrepresented self-designation of theirs to call themselves "pro-life".

This seems to be a cynical ploy to bring back the social status quo back to 1952. That's very clear through the other supreme court decisions they're going to review. George Carlin is still spot on about this topic:

My daughter works from home in Atlanta. Her company notified her that they would cover her moving expenses if she should decide to relocate. They know she's engaged.

The flip side: they don't want this to go public because they're based in Georgia.

Playing both sides of the coin.

Huh. I’ve noticed that I don’t tend to political statements now that I’m out of OK.
but I loved pissing them off.

i'm so fucked up over the overturning of roe vs. wade. currently on the verge of deleting facebook as its either the most depressing things I've ever seen or people making MEMES and making a joke of the situation. people are fucking disgusting. the world is crumbling in 2022 and it's making me wanna run away to an island and never look back. I give up on this country we're going nothing but backwards.

maybe this should go under the support group threads but here it is.

FUCK Clarence Thomas. Fuck Ginni too..

SCOTUS can gargle an infected scrotum. Well, the ones who voted to take us backwards.

Fellas, hope you understand that Roe Vs. Wade didn't solely protect abortion rights. Under this new precedent your medical right to privacy is threatened too.. Not nearly in the same way or for the same reason.

Imagine if your penis/balls carried a fetus.. you know how big a pregnant belly is. Imagine that being forced through your genitals when you tried to avoid conceiving.

Now... Imagine (if it's not already the case) that you're atheist and do not believe whatsoever that life begins at conception. But some brainwashed religious wannabe dictators take your choice away.

If you're "prolife" whoever you are.... Imagine if me as an atheist made the choice for you and FORCED you to abort your pregnancy because I don't believe life is sacred? Yeah. Let it sink in.

I'm not trying to take your "god" away from you. Stop trying to force that creepy mother fucker into MY LIFE.

Facts don't care about your feelings. Beliefs are not facts. So fuck you and your dictator loving, cult following bullshit..oh, are you upset that I used bad words? Good. Fucking good. Because you can't comprehend how pissed the fuck off I am about your hypocrisy.

Small government? Get out of my face. Lying ass pieces of literal shit. I wouldn't piss on you if you were on fire.

You came to the right spot, MT. Feel free to vent.

…[…]…Fuck the SCOTUS.
To the Honorable Justice TNJ:

Pursuant to your omniscient response concerning the recent unconscionable Christofascist attack on women’s reproductive rights by the politically owned and self-perjuring majority of SCOTUS, we would offer a partial dissent, and, further, request one change.

We would request that Justices Breyer, Jackson, Kagan, and Sotomayor be recused from the aforementioned judgement—in that they have no bearing or responsibility regarding this case.

However, we would also request—and without delay—that the Federalist Society owned Justices Alito, Barrett, Gorsuch, Kavanaugh, Roberts, and Thomas should immediately commence to lift their robes, grab their ankles, and aggressively proceed in self-administering—amongst themselves—the proposed judgement of your aforementioned sentence—for—and not limited to—a period of nine months—and to be diligently enacted without the possibility of, or the allowance for, exceptions.

Respectfully submitted this 3rd day of July, 2022.

I want these anti-choice god botherers to get severe salmonella poisoning at a convention, then go to their doctors for antibiotics, who would then refuse to prescribe said antibiotics because salmonella is a lifeform living inside their bodies that has rights too.

Besides fascism, the “good christians” will have to compete with other virulent hate groups, white nationalists, autocracy, and the burgeoning crop of dictator wannabes attempting to replace and outdo the disgraced twice-impeached previous dictator wannabe. Christian’s have lost a lot of credibility in their devotion to the previous.

The “good christians” have further challenges in that they can’t agree or get along amongst themselves, and their various demonizations, and their subgroups and synods. Which will be the official form of Christianity imposed on the former democracy known as the United States of America? Will everyone be required to sign an oath of religious affirmation to Christianity, or face some dire penalty? Will we see something akin to the horrors of the English Reformation or the Spanish Inquisition for those that do not comply under the imposed theocracy? There is a reason we have, or had, separation of church and state. Religious extremism has brought about the demise of many great civilizations. Christians sold this country out in 2016—exchanging votes for judges and judgements in violation of the Establishment Clause—but that may come back to haunt them. Once voting is no longer allowed under one of the aspiring dictators who ascends the conservative throne, they will lose their usefulness. What’s to say that a dictator with no boundaries would end Christian nationalism?

“Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me.”—Niemöller

In fairness, I also need to acknowledge that there are many Christians who are not part of the zealous hate and bigotry that are the driving force of Christian nationalism. Unfortunately, the good that those Christians do to better the world gets lost in the deafening extremist tropes of those that are “good christians in name only” and not in practice or representation. In the case of the latter, Freedom From Religion is preferable.
