Women's Issues Random Thoughts

Why I get butthurt and MOTI... Threads like "Painal" seeking video threads are clearly misogynistic assholes seeking out abuse of women to wank over. It's violent, aggressive and dehumanizing to all women, and specific like to the women who chill here and contribute to the site

We're allowed to speak up and call assholes out.. as long as we stay in our little estrogen ghettos. Step out of Gynotopia and get smacked.

The inconsistent moderating here is not working. It hasn't been for a lot of members for a long time. Long time members at that..

Of course there's no way to make everyone happy, but I'm fine with it if shitty, rapey, misogynist assholes are the ones with the butthurt. Not fine with it when good people who do good in the world are the ones with the butthurt.

Currently, it's backwards as fuck around here.

So all females aged between the ages of 13 and 50 are taxed for being women.
We call it the tampon tax.
Fucking arseholes.

Our new Constitution is now established, and has an appearance that promises permanency; but in this world nothing can be said to be certain, except death and taxes.

— Benjamin Franklin, in a letter to Jean-Baptiste Leroy, 1789

amended to say..but in this world nothing can be said to be certain, except Periods and Tampon taxes.

The British are Fucking arseholes

Forget about tampon taxes the real outrage is that they charge women sales tax for black g-strings..when they
should be exemted for the tininess factor and to encourage women not to buy/wear lame looking comfy panties.

Whoa, easy there. While I agree that women should not be taxed on the personal care products that are not realistically optional, I don't think the blame lies at the feet of all 65 million British people.

Whoops lost in charactee some 200 years ago..must confess not a fan of the Royal Family...they're just lucky
none of their heads were cut off. Last person to meet guillotine in France was in 1977..same year Star Wars came
out..make of that what you will. This song used to get airplay on Bastille Day...kinda forgotten now though.

What do you mean personal care products aren’t realistically optional? Free bleeding is always an option! (Canada also imposes a tax on these products.)

I really believe that if every woman in all our “civilized” countries started free bleeding until the taxes were stopped, it wouldn’t take long before our male politicians realized these are not luxury items.

I'm 100% down with this movement.

I'll wear white pants and everything.

I always knew this as the "pink tax" which, as far as I'm aware, is also done in the U.S. Far more than just tampons. My female roommate gets "men's" razors because they are cheaper than "women's" and she says they even do a better job... I don't know if everyone has a similar experience, but I've been thinking for a few days now to put together an AAW thread to see what are your woman's thought on this "pink tax", if you've purchased any differently or if you plan to - or free bleed to protest!

I think this tax is ridiculous.

Even the sort of lace-y looking synthetic bath poofs (that's what I call them, I don't know what they're actually called) are more expensive if they're in "girly" colors than if they're in "masculine" colors like grey. It's fucking absurd.

Feminine hygiene is taxed outright in the US, too.
But, some states tax food.
As for those in Vat countries, our taxes are applied at the register.
So I do mental math on every item.

I could never find non girly colors in poofs.
A scrubber that lasts more than a year on me, and another year as a cleaning tool for the tub? For a buck? That my local recycling takes at the end? (Or is a great drainage mesh in a planter)?
Yes, please.
