Bwahhhhha.....the best kids cartoon show ever. Yeah sure........most of the humour went over the kids heads...But I saw Marry Poppins at the cinema with my Grandmother.
I never learned of the Suffragettes, or heard of them at that age..it was all floatinfg to the ceiling or Supaclafragalisticxpladocious, feeding a bird a day, and flying kites...............fantasy.........but it all fell into place years later. My Grandmother was a very independent woman. Strong jaw..iron stare, an independent mind, a heart of gold. Cooked the best corned silverside and mashed veges ever.......Had those little sticky things that hung down from the ceiling that used to trap flies.....
Although feeding a bird a day and Tuppence...even back then had an effect on my life.

And... Less human activity means less light/sound pollution. All the animals are thrilled that we're staying the fuck home (those of us complying).
I'm not ok with what's happening. But I think nature is doing what it does. And the rest of our planets inhabitants are grateful. We've done a lot of harm. They deserved a break

The Right are awfully fond of accusing Liberals of using Covid-19 to advance The Leftist Political Agenda

Just learned my Uncle passed. My dad's older brother. NOT covid-19 related. His body was donated to Albert Einstein College of Medicine.
While I haven't seen him in 15 years, he did take me to my first Broadway play (Brighton Beach Memors). And his partner made the BEST homemade vegetarian lasagna i have ever had!
