I will put the kiss of death on Germany and say I fancy them to win.
Well, Spain were the favorites going into the Cup. Clearly the better passing team today. Germany had some terrible substitutes, namely Boateng. He was so far off his mark every time the ball came to his side. Terrible play from the start for him. I don't think Germany would have won even if they had all their key players but we will never know.
Spain should win if they stick to their gameplan. Netherlands were on the easy side of the bracket. Germany, Spain, Argentina and Portugal each would have beaten Netherlands. I dislike their cheap play to get foul calls for free kicks. I doubt they would have gotten that far without the calls.
