World Cup

I was talking about the Portugal game where you would have thought that Mike Tyson had hit him.

I think his reaktion was justified.
Also, after the game Müller appologized. He didnt want to make it look like as he would have tried to get anything out of it.
It never was a hard hit, but a hit to provocate Müller. Thats what made him angry.
And Müller didnt let himself drop and cry for pain, it was the opposit. He jumped up and jelled at pepe - not a single sign of pain

he will use, he wount win against germany

aahhh me ole mate Perados
10@9 for the USA
compared to 10@1-65 for Germany is how i have made my Bet P ha
sorry but the way the Euros have been non performing of late has helped persuade me, its USA for me today ha, wishin n hopin only mind you ..

eg Germany are one of the better at the moment admittedly, but i am funnily enuf hahah going for a USA WIN in this am NZT game, solely by the betting odds ha
stuff the facts of the better team and any analysis

of course, i know Germany's a far superior team
not overly scientific or sportsmanlike of me but WTF!
may i say they be crap this am ah ..
ENJOY the game, now for a few hours more sleep!!!

I actually like Klinsmann - he or Mourinho would be great for England.

We need a disciplined strategist as England Manager - someone who can identify all the problems and obstacles preventing us from being any good and eliminate them one by one.

Such as: defensive fragility; cementing a permanent team which play together throughout qualifying and are changed only due to injury or under-performance (instead of changing the whole lot every bloody match); addressing the balance between club and country - and altering it; fitness, tactics, culture and so on.

Then... if we still don't reach the quarters in 8 years at the latest, then finally accept we're hopelessly shit. :p

@joll
If you want all of this and even more, try to get Hitzfeld (current trainer of swiss). I think he is one of the best trainer... too bad he will retire after this champion chip

But i think Klopp (trainer of dortmund) would fit to britain as well

Great! I'll phone them later.

Otherwise I'll just have to manage them myself.

Call them... if a german trainer can get the usa to a 1/8 final, it should work for enngland at least for the 1/2 finals ;)

Im confidenced you will do a great job and in 8 years you will stay longer in the cup as this year

Not what I saw.

He was harassing Pepe from behind who gabbed the V neck of Muller's shirt and pushed him back.

Muller went down like he had been shot and was rolling around like a baby.

Pepe went to confront him for this simulation which was clearly designed to get a free kick and a yellow card and pushed his head into Muller. Muller's first response was to pretend to have been shot again but quickly realised that Pepe was now in real trouble, which rightly he was.

It doesn't excuse Muller being a cheat though.

Your team takes every opportunity fair and foul to dominate the opposition. Simulated fouls, sendings off and yellow cards which hamper the performance of players. Thankfully the referees are showing far fewer cards this time. What is the German for gamesmanship, because in fairness, we should adopt that word? Or should we just saying doing a Muller, or doing a Klinsman?

@drifterwood
Sorry but i dont know what games you watch
i dont agree with you

Maybe you watched the brasilian games, and you think Müller is neymar. In this case i would understand your critics... garmany plays in black/white or black/red :biggrin1:

USA have played a better game so far
apart from the first 10 minutes where Germany tried to stamp there authority! on the game
i think the 2nd 1/2 the Germans will perhaps not bother trying so hard seeing as they already have enuf points .. both teams do apparently!

I dont agree... germany did the better game and more opportunities - the usa had just a good defence but no real chance for a goal.

I also doubt that any team will stop fighting, or think a remis is good enough... we will see a winner at the end of the 90 mins

BBC Sport - Germany 4-0 Portugal

This one. Muller is a cheat. He was clearly only mildly touched on the chest and chin and went down clutching his face in the hope of conning the ref into booking Pepe.

As for the head butt, he hardly made contact.

Face it Parados, Germany will try anything to win a close game.

haha funniest thing is i have the game on in the background while spending more time perusing this site ha
one as interesting/boring as the other duh!
bring on the Rugby aye Drifter ..
even partially forgot re my bet ha

Yeah... as i would lissen to a english source when its about german football  - at the end, pepe did a foul. If Müller over reacts its pepes foult. He shouldnt have done the foul. - overreacting is just a sign that something wrong happened (something every player does)

So, there was one dive. Defenetly nothing i support, if you got the ball try to finish it with a goal, if its not possible deal with it...
But face the reality, a dive happens at every game, made by every team - not reason enough to call a game unfair.

Germany wins 1-0
Portugal wins 2-1

USA overall did well I think especially fo playing against one of the World Cup favorites.
Germany&USA advance.
Portugal&Ghana knocked out.

Belgium vs USA will be a conflict to me.

There were two dives. One got punished in the second half. Anyway I am glad the US Corinthian spirit continues to the next round.

The pictures are from Brazil, dummy, not the BBC. It says a lot that you have to revert to bigotry to avoid the visual evidence.

No foul was given before the deadly head butt. Muller cheated to get a foul and then got lucky to get the sending off.

I thought you understood football in Croatia?

ahh its BRASILIAN broadcast channel - im stupid. I thought its british - i didnt even opened the link

Pepe pullod on Müllers jersey - to pull on a jersey is a foul. Yes we understand a lot about foodball. Maybe you should get informed

This is the text under the picture thet shows pepes attack
Since 2002, Portugal have had six red cards in 15 World Cup games - twice as many as any other side
And you argue germany would play unfair
