So there is nothing in the original that asks “do you prefer your flap of dick skin” or “can you share why you prefer being uncut”….nothing, So while you are welcome to be interested in reading about cut guys preferring being cut, this ain’t the thread for you to tell your foreskin love story. Do you mind if I ask you where your interest in being circumcised came about?
I was clipped in year 7 (high school), and I had no idea circumcision was even a thing until I had it done. I'd suffered all my life with UTIs and finally, after dragging their feet, the GP referred me to have it done.
I'm happy with it now, but it came as a shock because no one explained what a circumcision was. I just knew I would no longer be dealing with UTIs.

From playing around with my cock I would always prefer the look of my glans being exposed. I used to love the feeling of my foreskin pulling itself back when I was getting erect. Then after I would get soft it would stay there until I rolled it back forwards or I got exceptionally cold or distracted.

Retracted became the default position for my foreskin. I had a lot of sex in a short period of time and got a little sore. I went to the doctor and he offered me a full circumcision which I gladly accepted.

I like the fact that I am circumcised. It was done at birth though so I don't know what it would have been like to have a foreskin, but I think it looks better.

came here to say this thread is really interesting - as an uncut guy I've never wanted to be circumcised, think uncut dicks look much nicer (I'm always a bit disappointed when looking at nude art when the guy is cut), and know that the "cleaner" bit is nonsense, at least for people who regularly shower and know how to wash themselves. I also would never imagine people having issues with their foreskin during sex, but I guess it really depends on the anatomy. For me feeling the foreskin slide over the head is on of the great pleasures, and being able to pull it all the way back and play with the super sensitive skin that gets revealed is awesome. Once at uni I heard an american girl say not to date european guys cus they're all uncircumcised and I found that so odd. Point being, people seem to be rather confident in their wildly different opinions!

One thing I won't budge on: I think it's totally wrong for parents to decide to circumcise their children when it's not necessary. But if you don't like the way you are and can change it, go for it!

The reason parents have the choice is because later in life, you have to take time out of a busy schedule and go through debilitating pain for a short period. As an infant, you don't have anything on your calendar other sucking a nipple and you won't remember a single minute of pain. Understand?

Exactly. Imagine leaving vaccinations, other surgery, braces, diet choices, education, etc, all affect a child's development, until they're old enough to make the decision themselves. There are known medical benefits to circumcision. Assuming you understand that, then as a parent, why wouldn't you opt to circumcise?

I read a post from a urologist, in the states, a few months ago, who said that, about 70% of men are circumcised in his state (forgot which state), yet about 70% of his male patients are uncircumcised.

This mirrors my own personal experience. I had excruciating urinary tract infections for the first decade or so of my life, until my local doctor finally took it seriously. Antibiotics did nothing for me, long term. And generally I am a defender of our NHS, here. I think it's a great thing. But they're so hesitant when it comes to circumcision, and yet, it would likely save them money in the long run, as fewer men will have penile health issues down the line.

I know my opinion is controversial, so I'll share it and then leave it, (I'm not going to reply to intactivists. I've been there, and I can't be arsed wasting my time, when it seems to be ideologically based (like the antivax crowd) You get nowhere with them.

And you know it's not just about choice, as they like to claim, because you'll also see the same people make nasty comments about circumcised penises on photo threads.
