Yes but Conan is also on the verge of worldwide superstardom and is surely being seen by his record label as a huge future cash cow the likes of what Olivia Rodrigo & Billie Eilish became...

His fanbase is probably 90% young & female. Meanwhile, he's clearly a queer artist whose work & persona imply an attraction to men. Yet it's nowhere to be found in his imagery (where the love interests are always female & "quirky" to fit his fanbase's fantasy).

He also won't discuss sexuality now in interviews, which seems disingenuous considering he used to exploit his personal life to seem more relatable ('I've never been kissed!')

It's confusing, because on one hand Gen Z rejects labels. Yet they are also more about self & identity politics than anyone. That's a huge contradiction in my opinion.

But again, I'm guessing this obfuscation is probably a result of some marketing exec or A&R team, not Conan himself.
