I've hooked up with men and women through Craigslist. It takes some doing but, trust me, it's very possible. It's much easier to hook up on CL with a guy than a woman but that's because the dynamics are different. Also, here in NYC, anyway, the women tend to be either spam, fortune hunters or hookers. And the women who are "genuine" tend to be quite bitter. But I have met a few (and we're talking over the years here) that made it all worthwhile. Yes, CL can be a very viable option but it takes a determined effort.

Maybe it's location based, but CL in my area seems like the haven for old guys, closeted/married guys, and guys looking for fetishes they are too embarrassed to seek out elsewhere. That's on top of the fake ads and the people who post either without a picture, or a picture of their cock and require responses to have full stats and a face, body and dick pic or else they won't reply.

It lets people pic out individuals without having to reveal themselves. Works for some, but from my experience most quality people don't like such terms.

I, personally, would never use CL where I live but I've seen higher quality postings in other cities.

Well, I am a woman which factors into the extremely high amount of responses I get. So high, that I always end up canceling the ad 24 hrs or less later. I have to weed through alot of crazy responses, but that is prob more so bc what I post for is typically a fav amongst nuts lol (strap on sex). I always get quite a few quality responses from other sane professionals who are just kinky like me and can't find anyone to share this side of themselves with. But after I weed out the married guys, I am left with only 2 or 3 decent responses out of over 200. Needless to say I only resort to this when I am on the prowl in an extreme way.
