So then why does he keep talking about it? All I see is him trying to get Zeke on the show again. Every few weeks or so he comes up with something on Twitter or Instagram to push to get Zeke back on the show. If it was a joke, of course say it once but seriously, let it go.

because his entire intent is to appeal to a hypersexual group of disney channel fans who grew up with him. i'm sure he's well aware he's burned a bridge. it's just the "in case you forgot, i played a relevant-but-not-actually-relevant character on wizards of waverly place. now, i have a big dick and do porn" works for him because any dirty mind would be curious to see a conventionally attractive D-list actor they grew up with fulfill their deepest fantasies.

this whole situation is just aggy, though, because while i don't agree with david henrie being so cryptic about dan's sex work in front of a cast of minors, who immediately caught the shade...
...buzzfeed's even more messier for adding zeke on that quiz knowing the circumstances.

dan is just using this as an easy way to get promotion because he definitely has that privilege now. so, more power to him.

It's clear that the issue with Dan isn't not being invited back it's the vid with David Henrie's reaction to a post that includes Dan as an option along with other former co-stars and when asked which of them he'd want back he could have just ignored that Dan was one of the choices but he choose instead to make a snarky comment. They were most likely friends when they were young or at least co-workers so it's painful for Dan to see that. Henrie had nothing to gain by being nasty.
Dan has been very open from the beginning that he knew his choice to explore sex work would permanently end his acting career with Disney and he was ok with that.

I wouldn't say it killed his chances but anything for kids he's not gonna be in but since he wasn't the main character or favorite character in the show itself he prolly got paid less than them. I would use garrett clayton as an example but that him coming out and he's still getting some acting jobs but he's mostly modeling

it's exhausting because y'all are reading into this entire situation like annoying pre-teen disney know-it-alls. like, can we all just accept that dan is never setting foot on a Disney set again? and just because they were on-screen besties doesn't mean they liked each other in real life.

as a Selena fan, I hate to, but I can’t help but feel like her heart isn’t entirely in the new show. like the only reason she agreed to be involved is maybe because she feels like she owes it to the fans of the original series? I don’t believe it was a cash grab though - she’s literally a billionaire, just had a movie come out, and not to mention Rare Beauty... it’s just that for years, she tried to distance herself from the show and Disney. yes, she has talked about how grateful she is for the opportunity, but she’s made it clear that she has had no interest in working with Disney Channel again until now.

I can see how David would be in it just for the money - he’s not exactly on the same level of success as Selena… plus, he hasn’t appeared on David DeLuise and Jennifer Stone’s podcast and apparently distanced himself from the show and the rest of the cast since it’s original end.

well, i feel selena probably has fashion on her radar and only murders in the building is an award winning series. she's honestly better off and probably did it for the fans. i'm not a wizards of waverly place fan and never been (honestly, preferred the hannah montana and that's so raven era) but given its a reboot centered for a newer generation of kids, i mean... i get why.

Yes, Tyler, Cody, etc., all had leaks, but producers understand that these videos were meant to be private, but a trust was broken. Cody pretty much disappeared for awhile. It was traumatic for him. But they didn’t become full time porn actors. That’s the key difference.

True. Disney doesn't pay well at all. The pay is simply shitty lol. But it's a great start for young folks starting out in Hollywood. If you catch on with audiences, you can then venture into higher paying jobs. Zac Efron, Jonas Bros, Justin Timberlake, Ryan Gosling, etc. being noble former Disney stars.

Hollywood is a tough business, so it's about luck and timing at the end of the day. Some make and some don't.

Also, I think it’s worth mentioning that David Henry comes from money. I can remember Raven Symone talking about it on her podcast so no matter what happened David was always gonna end up fine. It’s incredibly judgmental of him to look down on Dan when he was never gonna end up in Dan’s position to begin with.
