I guess I will wade into this quagmire. The key point that people are forgetting about this show and why Disney and David do not want him back is the fact this show is a children show not an adult oriented one. So minor children are the target audience. I don't believe he will portray an adequate roll model for young children. I don't think parents would allow it. When Dan made that decision to move his career out of the children theme market he gave up his chance to go back there. So he need to move on to shows/movies that are 18+ years and older. Now if you do a google search on him the first content that will appear is his adult gay themed pictures. That is not what a parent would want their young children to see. Dan needs to move on and find other projects.

It's clear that the issue with Dan isn't not being invited back it's the vid with David Henrie's reaction to a post that includes Dan as an option along with other former co-stars and when asked which of them he'd want back he could have just ignored that Dan was one of the choices but he choose instead to make a snarky comment. They were most likely friends when they were young or at least co-workers so it's painful for Dan to see that. Henrie had nothing to gain by being nasty.
Dan has been very open from the beginning that he knew his choice to explore sex work would permanently end his acting career with Disney and he was ok with that.
They both could have/should have acted more politically correct but they didn't. But the fact remains that Dan is no longer a role model for young children. They both need to wish each other well and success in their careers and move on.

dan is just using this as an easy way to get promotion because he definitely has that privilege now. so, more power to him.
I wouldn't say it killed his chances but anything for kids he's not gonna be in but since he wasn't the main character or favorite character in the show itself he prolly got paid less than them. I would use garrett clayton as an example but that him coming out and he's still getting some acting jobs but he's mostly modeling

well, i feel selena probably has fashion on her radar and only murders in the building is an award winning series. she's honestly better off and probably did it for the fans. i'm not a wizards of waverly place fan and never been (honestly, preferred the hannah montana and that's so raven era) but given its a reboot centered for a newer generation of kids, i mean... i get why.

seeing this tiktok does make me feel a little empathetic and remorseful for my critiques on his content and how he approaches it. given that his nudes were definitely leaked and all around here and how we really don't take in consideration the trauma a lot of actors deal with when things do leak.
then again, there are a lot of actors who got leaked too that still got acting gigs, like tyler posey, cody christian (all-american) and others but i definitely have a different perspective.
