I would like to ask these questions because I don't think many men are aware of the lengths some women got to get ready for a date.

How do you prepare for Date Night?

Are you a wash and go girl?

Do you go "the whole hog" with beauty treatments?

What is the most extravagant thing you have ever done in order to consider yourself ready for a date?

OMG! I'm an insecure, nervous nellie combined with girly-girl. Less planning went into the Invasion of Normandy than I put into a first date. :biggrin1:

Pre-Date Prep
Hair appointment
Mani-pedi
Waxing brows, lip, chin
Buy new outfit
Buy new shoes to go with new outfit
Buy new purse to match shoes
Go home and try on new outfit
Try on 3 other outfits I already own
Call every female I know who has ever been on a date and ask her what I should wear.
E-mail pics of myself wearing each outfit to all the women I have just spoken to on the phone.
Decide I hate new haircut and start trying on wigs.
Go to the drag queen at the M*A*C counter in the good Macy's for makeover.
Buy everything the drag queen uses on me.

Day of Date
Take a klonapin
Take long, hot shower, shave pits, and legs
Moisturize temple to toe
Brush teeth & floss :biggrin1:
Do hair
Get dressed
Drive to meeting place or wait for doorbell to ring

Sorry I can't make it tonight

See, this is why some women can't be called spur of the moment for a date. There isn't enough prep time. Now once I am comfortable in a relationship and he's seen me looking less than stellar I can shower, dress and be out the door in 35 minutes with makeup.

nj,

i guess I dont have sense enough to do all of that. I am taking as I am. i will get a shower, put on a decent outfit (depending upon the occassion) some lipstick and i am pretty much good to go.

If you just would lie down and not move, I can do your hair and makeup.
However, you would look like an 80 year old granny. :biggrin1:

Hey, don't joke your grandmother looked pretty good for being deceased when you finished with her. Did you ever think if things didnt work out for you as a musician that you could be a stylist?:biggrin1:

Well, everyone I would do would look like an old dead woman. I don't think that's the look that most people are trying to rock. LOLOLOL

I'm something of a wash-and-go type although I do put on a little makeup and think maybe a little more about what I want to wear. I want to look attractive but I think taking hours to primp is freaking BORING!!! I just want to GO already - sheesh! :biggrin1:

I can go the bathroom, pee, wash, lipstick and still beat 99% of the guys out. What do you men do in there?

Oh to answer the question I am a wash and go type, life is way to short to worry about all the BS - I look good, you know it and I do, you should be ecstatic you even got a date with me. :biggrin1:

I am wash and go, but do like to wear a bit of make-up (I love lip gloss).
Typically, like ML, I keep it causal (no straight hair until we're dating), but, if he sees my legs or cleavage on date night I really, really like him.

If I really want to look nice...takes me an hour...if it's a spontaneous let's meet up in 25-30 minutes, I usually can just wash and go...honestly I don't really wear a lot of make-up to begin with...

So...for a date night:

1. shower: 15 min.
2. put on make-up/perfume etc: 10 mins
3. blow-dry and straighten hair (which is already pretty straight): 15 min.
4. put clothes on...3 min.
5. convincing my pup she should get in her bed... 12 min. tops

- 1 hour

for just getting together and if I care about not looking like a total mess:

1. most likely I showered that day (duh) 0 min.
2. lip gloss and mascara which I probably already have on 0 min.
3. fix my hair: 10 mins.
4. put my pants on which I usually never have on at home...that's another story, shoes etc... 3 min.
5. convincing my pup she should get in her bed... 12 min. tops

- 25 mins...

if it's dire, and I need to hurry

1. grab a hair-tie put hair up: 2 min. (lip gloss/mascara takes all of 2 secs in this too if I feel like it)
2. put some pants and shoes on 3 min.
3. bribe pup with a treat to get in her bed... 0.5 ms tops

~5 min. worse case scenario...

60% of the time...I'm option 3, the rest is mostly option 2...guess if I bribed my dog more I could do things more quickly.

I'm pretty gross in general and have never showered before a date. I shower at night so my hair can dry overnight. Since I got a gross job I definitely shower less often; why shower when I'm just going to get filthy again?

Otherwise, I do 10 minutes of makeup/getting dressed. Most of my clothes don't fit so it doesn't leave me many options, especially when most of my pants look terrible and there's no way I could score points on dressing well.

Date night/concert night are the same thing for me, really. Clothes on, hair brushed, make-up on. If I'm not so freshly shaven that day, well, tough shit

I definitely turned down a date once because I had to wash my hair that night.

Just lipstick? No mascara or blush? See, this is why you're still single.

 If the opportunity arises for me to be flat on my back with you in the room, you can bet your sweet bippy I'll be moving . . .at least from the waist down. :naughty: :flirt:

Hmm, maybe you need to date Goth girls or Twilight fans. :biggrin1:

Would it be dirty of me to admit that I like the "wash and go girl"?Cause some of Lisa and I's dates were fishing trips.Though to be honest I was fishing for more than fish in the woods by the lake all alone!lol

How to get ready for a date by Pitbull

Get clean.
Remove any potentially offensive odors.
Put on clean clothes without large number of wrinkles.
Clothes should look nice and be appropriate for where I am going.
Knock mud off shoes - wipe if needed.
Comb or brush hair.

Put on a big smile :biggrin1:

That's it.
The woman can do the same.
You can put on make up if you wish.
But you don't have to because you already are beautiful.
