He's a devout Mormon, so the chances of hearing anything juicy are somewhat remote. He does admit, however, to an addiction to porn ( don't know if straight or gay). From Facebook:

I know he mentions that as a negative part of his life...but I can't be the only one who finds it hot that he admits watching porn? I know most if not all guys masturbate and watch porn, but it is a HUGE turn on when celebs ADMIT to it

I still think he's Closeted and will come out eventually but that's a while from now it must be hard being yourself, when he's like the Mormon Gold Standard of living. Poor David I truly feel for him

Hi father was wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy too overprotective and weird during the AI days. I am betting his dad probably tried to beat the gay out of him or at least made him feel like he could never come out or be himself. Sad but true.
I would say that him being a Mormon would make it more likely that we'll get some nudes or even a video because a lot of these repressed religious types are all closet freaks. You can only repress your sexuality for so long before the freak jumps out
I do wish he would have won idol back in season 7. While David cook wasn’t bad but Archie has a stronger voice.

The LDS Church has miles to go, but they have been taking baby steps to become more progressive and inclusive of LGBTQIA+-*#($)#*#(#(#*$( members. If he is gay, I do not think that he is "closeted" in respects, but is more reserved in general. It's his life and I'm not going to speculate on his sexuality, just wish him happiness and success.

He has done alot since American idol. He has had several tours and records. He did take over a year for a mormon mission. He has had a very successful career so far!
