The question regarding % Gay vs. % Straight when making my profile brought to mind a question.. How gay can you be before you're bi? I went for 1% Gay 99% Straight because, I love pussy, but i'm not afraid of penis although they do not turn me on... So those guys out there who are totally petrified of penis. you go be 100% straight, no problem. But for the others of you who claim other amounts out there, what's the verdict?..

well, i'd like to change the poll question, as i see this discussion is already going on with interesting results.....

lol @ nik .. Are you sure you are not petrified? you told me before you were...lol anyway my 2 cents of thought in here

I’ve long suspected that bisexuality, in many men, is the stage between shame and acceptance. That is, men who call themselves “bisexual” are often gay men who aren’t quite ashamed anymore of their homosexual inclination but who, for any number of reasons, also aren’t fully accepting of it. By calling themselves bisexual, they cling to some thin reed of their heterosexual identity.

I remember a study conducted back in the 90s to a group of men - a memorable headline resulted of the New York Times which sparked the world, the “bisexual” men in the study were either “Straight, Gay, or Lying.”

Clearly there are straight men who occasionally have gay sex when circumstances limit their preferred sexual outlet, as in prison. Clearly there are gay men, some of whom are married to women, who have straight sex because they’re ashamed of their homosexual orientation or afraid of the consequences of being found out. These are not bisexuals.

Clearly, for queer theorists and their allied political groups, there is an ideological motivation behind the idea of bisexuality. They will defend it, damn the truth. And for some men, having sex with men who claim to be attracted to women is a fetish.

Clearly there are men who call themselves bisexual, whether for political reasons or fetishistic reasons or because they simply aren’t yet able to accept that they’re gay.

We may not like that the world is divided into sheep and goats, but that’s preferable to pretending we live in a world of mythical unicorns.

I mean sure there could be some that are lying and all, but come on! Are really going into "black and white" thinking here?

Is it so hard so grasp that there's gray too? I'm sorry if I'm acting offended, but this is a frustrating subject to me.

I think heterosexual people cannot understand something which for bisexuals is natural. I cannot understand how one can be turned on by cocks by not at all by breast and vice versa.

Is this an excuse for gay people to call bisexuals straight and women to call bisexuals gay?

Or is this something for intolerant people who are confused if bisexuality is heretic, so they just consider bisexual people gay so they can bash them too?!

Look I seriously don't want to offend anyone's look on the world and as said, I admit some people aren't REALLY bi, but there ARE REAL bisexuals out there, lots of them! Everyone is unique and has his/her own "grayness" on the black/white bar!

    Very well put, Joseph!

We bis are definitely out there. And I think that one day we will be acknowledged and increasingly accepted, as are gay men and lesbians today. See the thread: http://www.lpsg.org/133057-beyond-gay-marriage.html

I guess, being bisexual from like the age of 3, I find it very hard to understand why it is so hard for some straights and gays to believe that bisexuality exists. It really isn't that puzzling. We're like the stem cells of sexuality. We can have sex with, and love, either sex, or both sexes. We are not closeted gays, at least for the most part. We are not closeted straights, at least for the most part. We are real. Always have been. Always will be.

A few weeks ago I was deep throating a beautiful 18-year-old guy. A few hours later I was fucking a woman, going deep. Enjoyed both experiences. I no longer give a shit if people don't think I exist. It's my sexuality, not theirs. Who gives a shit what they think?

THEY think they exist. My opinion, they are just fooling themselves. For me, if you have enuf feeling for a man to have sex with him, YOU ARE GAY !!!!

I am 100% GAY, always was and always will be, but the fact that I could have sex with a woman if I wanted to doesnt make me Bi.....

There's a term for your disorder: Biphobia.

Biphobia - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

There's a term for what you're practicing: bisexual erasure.

Well, I'll dive in on my first day on the board!

I wank to female only porn, I wank to male only porn, I wank to lesbians, gays, bis, shemales, mmf, mff, ffffff, mmmmmmm etc.

I've had mf sexual relations, I've had mm sexual relations - I enjoy all of them.

I have no interest in a male only relationship. I only kiss women, I only live with women.

I'm certainly not gay - so am I hetero or bi. Or something else?!

    I think I'm bi :)

Since you apparently aren't interested in sex with women, but only with men, then of course you are gay, not bi.

You seem to be defining as gay anyone who is not strictly heterosexual. That's your choice, but it seems like you are refusing to acknowledge a sizable minority out there, namely people who enjoy sex and possibly long-term relationships with both genders (for me, preferably with both genders at the same time). Sex with men does not trump or negate sex with women.

I only "use" heterosexual porn. (I find gay porn weird.) I only have intercourse with women, but I kiss men and receive (and if the guy is hot enough, give) oral to men.

Hey. Come to think of it.... Wouldn't straight porn ultimately be the perfect porn of a bisexual? In straight porn, you have BOTH GENDERS having sex!

Thanks for making a great point. It's not just about behavior. It's also about desire. A gay-for-pay straight man isn't gay if he's only doing it for money.

No! Got to see MMF without all that avoidance of M/M contact.

It's a good point - and to an extent true. I do enjoy seeing a hard cock as much as a dripping pussy in hetero porn.

Why do hetro men enjoy seeing hard cocks? Do they squint their eyes so they can't see that bit?

I love that too. See, for me, a woman has to be involved somewhere.

When I'm with a man, I feel very "gay."

When I'm with a woman, I feel very "straight."

I resent people telling me that either experience is invalid. This is my experience. I know it's real.

Of course not. Straight men enjoy seeing hard cocks, which is why hard cocks are in straight porn. This sort of underscores the Freudian theory that everyone is bisexual at some level.
