Dressing right OR left?

I remember being fitted for a tux in the ninth grade and hearing this question from the tailor. Shortly thereafter my biology teacher was talking about something and said that if a tailor had never asked you that, "You know you're small."

To the right. When I got my PA installed the piercer asked me that too.

He was surprise that I knew what he was talking about and that the PA was once called a "dressing ring".

To the right. Naturally it falls to the left, but I like it on the right as it makes a bigger show! Worn it that way for 30+ years. I always keep an eye out for other guys; of those who are 'obvious', most seem to be left-dressers.
