Being prior service military of the US Army for 5 years and did a tour of Iraq one year. To answer this question honestly is yes multiple times usually in a open showers environment or changing clothes. It amazed me to see how many modest men in the US Army, in a combat job with little to no privacy would do the towel dance or cover themselves up in open showers. In all reality no one gave a damn about what the guy's dick looked liked unless he was endowed with a big penis, then everyone wanted to look at the guy with hung dick, out of curiosity more than anything. Jokes where always made and the non-hung men always bragged about the hung guys to the new guys every time. ( speaking from experience)

Question @Linkguy13 how did your towel dancing soldiers make it through basic? My time in basic, we all let it all hang out. There wasn't much modesty in the evenings near and especially after shower time.

Bro I don't know. Some waited for lights out and took one in the dark. If it was allowed I would have walked from my bay room to the showers totally naked with my towel over my shoulder and hygiene kit in my hand.

That raises another question. How were you supposed to walk from the bay to the showers and back? I actually would walk with my towel in hand.

Fully dressed. There was a changing area room next to the restroom which contained the entrance to the showers. In the changing area room you brought what you were going to change into for the day or night, then grab your towel and hygiene and head to the showers. This is because of female drill sergeants and female training soldiers. The combat engineers and the bridge crew members train together until the AIT (advanced individual training) where you learn your specific job skills. All the females were on the first floor in 1st Platoon. 2nd and 3rd Platoon was on the 2nd and 3rd and all males. But the female drill sergeants when they do their walk through don't want to see a naked soldier or one in his underwear either. So that is why we can't just walk from the rooms to the showers naked.

I feel fortunate to have gone through basic when and where I did. In the evening when we had a little bit of time for ourselves, we would strip at our bed, only things we would take to the showers besides our swinging dicks was a towel, shaving stuff, soap/shampoo and shower shoes.

Now to toe the line didn't matter if you were naked or fully dressed you better be in line for roll call. I and another guy took a shower at the same time and the D.S. called Toe the Line. I ran out with just a towel around my waist and the other guy stayed in and got dressed. After two rounds of PT push-ups and sit-ups the idiot comes out. Well I am still in the towel and the d.s. say side straddle hops and I am naked by the 3rd or 4th jump and the d.s. stopped counting and said Gman you're naked! Get in the middle of the hallway and face everybody. All right side straddle hold, and running in place. Running in place was the funniest because my dick look like a windmill. The d.s. said it sure must be windy because look at that windmill go. Everybody was laughing excluding me which ended my naked exercise comedy punishment . The d.s. to the incoming d.s. the next morning. It was Friday night going to Saturday morning. So now the my d.s. is on weekend c q and at some point in the day he calls me to his office and he tells me what the other d.s. said. Then asked me if it was true or was he just pulling his leg. All true d.s. I told him. Then the d.s. asked me if I wouldn't mind giving him a demonstration or a reenactment of what happened last night at toe the line. I told the d.s. I don't mind to demonstrate. If it is okay with you private I would like to see you do it in the same uniform. You don't have to if you don't want to do it. I said love to and stripped naked and ran inplace to show the windmill.

Speaking of the service, on a Reddit post a guy was complaining about having to stand in a row with other recruits to piss in a bottle for drug testing. He was complaining that he had to drop his pants to his ankles and raise his shirt to his arm pits and some private stood there while his peed. All the following posts told him to get over it because it really doesn't get any better with one telling him about urinals without dividers and toilets in the open. I remember my dad telling me about that when he served - that you'd literally sit next to other guys passing the TP back and forth.

Many years ago we had a very close group of people I worked with. In summer when we finished late at night we would often go skinny dipping together. Men and women having a great fun time together. Nothing sexual would happen although I did have sex with a couple of the guys at other times.
I also used to go to a nude beach with another workmate and his wife.
