If I exaggerate about size I usually say it is smaller than what it is, just to get some people to leave me alone. In all honesty, I still don't know my size, I've said that Ive measured, and few know my real size but, for the most part i think measuring is difficult for one to do acurately by oneself. So if anyone asks I'm 6x5 inches.

I thought getting accurate measurments was even more difficult because guys have varying degrees of arousal, as what I read about here.

Another thing I've noticed in judging size, but of people's height, is when someone, in terms of pure inches only, is, for example, 4 inches taller than someone else. In some ways that 4" doesn't sound too significant until I see the taller person standing next to the shorter person, who suddenly looks smaller (or, in turn, when it comes to the taller person, suddenly looks bigger) than I thought he or she would be.

I'm guessing the same kind of optical effect applies to other aspects of people's body parts.

Same here. Not that experienced, but I've been called thick, big, well-endowed, "it's a cobra" (hence the nickname). I'll admit I've never been called "huge" (not yet, anyways...), but I would not necessarily consider myself huge (I'm 8" by 5.75").

1.) Women dont usually go around measuring dicks, the men do that. Beacuse of this there are extreme exxagerations on the womens part. How many times have i heard a girl say that her dude is 10 inches, stretching her arms way out in gesture? Its a bonified luagh for sure.

Yeah, I'm sure some people exaggerate their size, but there are some legitimately hung people here. I agree with Madame Zora's stats on size too because most guys you'll meet will fall into the 5-7 inch range, with the average being a little less than 6. Guys with 8+ inches are very rare.

I'm not really sure where you're going with this either. The "average" penis size, or an "average" anything does mean something and is a valid measurement. People do not tend towards extremes at all - the distribution of penis sizes, weight, height, etc. follows a bell-shaped curve. Essentially, this means that some people will have the "average", i.e. mean value. Most (around 50%) will be within one standaed deviation either side of the mean, probably 4-7". As the sizes become more extreme, there will be fewer people who possess them.

I don't know why you think averages are for people of limited intelligence. Knowledge of how a population behaves, or how a particular characteristic measures on average, is essential in pubkic health, medicine, business. Unless what you mean is that we shouldn't make assumptions about a person based on the "average person", which is very true - this can be dangerous in personal relationships as well as in science.

What does this tell us about those men? Nothing. It tells us that the average numerical size of their totals length is 6.5. So would people assume that in a large group of men like such as this, that at least half of them are an average 6 inches? In this case, averages only build up assumptions.

Yes there is proof that many, MANY men are the current average of 6. BUT, what if NO MAN were that size at all? WHat if all men were either extremly huge, or extremely small? We would still get a medium average, and that would serve no purpose. It would only cause assumptions.

Of course i understand the pupose of averages in a general sense, but in the case of penis size, it just doesnt serve any purpose. It only gives false hope. I could even go as far as to discuss the fact that when taking these "averages," that many men will not be honest about the size of their penis, and add one, two, or perhaps even 3 inches, thus destroying the entire equation.

I used to exaggerate and use the dimensions measured along the side of my erection. I was lying to myself, I eventually realised that most people measure on the top so to be able to compare how big I was with other men, it wasn't useful.

Well, in math and marketing, that formula works, but in the world of penises it doesn't. Average, in this instance, means the range in which the most adult men fall. Most men on the planet are hung between about 5.5 and 6.5 inches. Smaller numbers of men have penises larger and smaller than that median range, with the percentages getting smaller the closer to either extreme you get.

Your example of "average" could ideally mean that in a world where ALL men were either hung above 6.5" or below 5.5" with no middle ground, your "average" penis size would be 6" and technically wouldn't exist.

I don't mind so much when people lie about their age, because there often is a possibility that you can get away with it (I don't feel the need to lie about that either). But a ruler will dispel any lies about penis size, and, frankly, don't you look like a fool for exaggerating. A fool, or a sorry, pathetic person who has so little self esteem that you think adding a fictitious inch makes you (and I'm speaking of a hypothetical "you", not anyone in particular here) seem more manly. I've said it before... saying you have a bigger dick don't make it so. Period.

It would be nice if LPSG would somehow encourage members to take ruler shots of their hard cocks... some sort of incentive, like an icon to go with the member's profile might work. Im going to post my expieriences so far with sex and how my size has come into play. Firstly, i wasnt born with the size i have now, but i was a little above average before i did ANY kind of PE. My length varied from 6.9-7.1 inches in length, and the girth was about 5.25-5.5 at the mid shaft. However on my stocky build (more than 30 inch theighs), my dick didnt look all that big. I don,t think that many people here are exaggerating, but a few most likely are. I consider myself large at 8.5" x 6.25" but not huge, I mesured straight along the top. My penis has a upward cuve and if I use a fabric ruler and following the curve from the top I am over 9" would that be exaggerating? If I use the same ruler on the under side of my penis I am almost 12"! I have a female friend, and had a boyfriend who had a penis over 12" x 7.5" and I believe her because she has seen my dick rock hard and says he was MUCH larger than me. So they do exist.
