Getting commented on for wearing briefs

I was recently traveling to an European country staying in a hostel. I wore only a pair of Calvin Klein briefs on bed, and two other roommates started talking about my underwear choice in their native language (unaware that I could actually understand). They were basically saying how tight and kid-like briefs are and wondering how anyone comfortably fits in them.

I'm 100% a briefs guy and I wear them everywhere, but it's interesting to hear other people talk about the underwear i wear. Has anyone else here ever gotten commented on, or had a conversation happen just because the underwear you were wearing in front of others?

I've never gotten comments as an adult, but guys look. But I wear bikini style briefs so they're not the regular briefs, which can make them stand out more. And I wear thongs occasionally and have worn them openly in locker rooms (I wear them under leggings).

The guys commenting on your briefs don't know anything, that's just random bullshit. It's all about the person's body and how they fit.

not sure which country it was but I'm from Europe and anything goes here in the uk, I dont think anyone would say anything whether briefs, boxers, trunks, only maybe very old fashioned things like psychedelic y-fronts that a grandad might opt for, but it would be no big deal. Ladies undies might raise an eyebrow but nothing surprises, amuses or shocks me these days.
