Then they have finally made it just a bit harder to fake it. I recall seeing verification pics of name placed under a whig, photoshopped lipstick on a chest and other obvious fakes - and they were all verified...

I only joined a couple of days ago. After one of my first posts a few people didn't believe I was female. I can sort of understand why now (still laughing at myself and wincing in embarrassment) but it didn't feel too great at the time.
I figure that if someone wants to pretend they're female that's fine, I'll treat them as the person they are claiming to be. If I don't like someone it's probably going to be because they acted like a wanker - male, female, or pretending.
Is this a really naive approach (really really new newbie here)?

Well, first, I don't understand what a man would get out of acting like a woman, unless he already thinks he's a woman or is into practical jokes.
Second, I don't understand what a woman gets out of being verified here. I don't like taking pictures of myself (that's why my avatar is over 10 years old) and posting all over the internet. I guess I'm not exhibitionist enough to want to do that.
Third, I've never been called 'busty' in my life that I can recall. Cap says I should use 'boobalicious.' But I wouldn't call attention to my breasts at all. Why would I?

the faux-ladies bother me something fiercely. if one of the hollow brained asstards ever once adopted a female persona i had one ounce of respect for i wouldn't be so angry. but the fakers are always addled brained, cock-addicted, pneumatic fuck dolls with a dialog chip of porn scripted one liner and an endless supply of LOLs. some of the advanced fakers manage to mix a lifetime movie back story with comso-cover line interests.
the end result is a disgraceful regurgitation of female stereotypes and cliches.
how eager some of the men are to meet, greet and grovel at the feet of these fakers is very depressing. this knee jerk reaction/devotion/pursuit of such a flawed and one dimensional ideal of women is starting to break my heart. and costing me respect for the average heterosexual man.
eta: not all fakers are men pretending to be women. some are women who adopt the porn starlet persona for attention. i hate you even more, cuz you should know better :irked:
i might get the idea that women on LPSG are interchangeable and indistinguishable fuck slots, who serve as some heterosexuality buffers or wank fodder. *during my first weeks here Ms SP busted a faker.. the reply from men viewing the faker's gallery "we don't care, we just like the pictures"* i sorta take comments like that as devaluing to the female members, heck females in general. :frown:

i think Mr. Pecker needs more wiggle room with questioning/asking for better photo verification. i can count a dozen verified women who passed with obviously PSd pictures.
the list is added to all the time , one just recently actually.
so.. step one.. better verification pictures, for the boys and the girls. sometimes spotting is as easy as downloading the picture and blowing it up. the pixel rate is almost never the same with the edits. and there are programs out there, like jpegsnoop, that will tattletale on an alter picture.
step two.. listen to the womangs of LPSG... for the most part women can spot the fakers. maybe because women are used to hinky dudes coming on to them in just about every situation, we've got a higher turned deception detector? men just don't seem to have the same filter.. or are just too over eager to pay attention.
step three... go back to the original policy of perm bans for people using stolen images.
step four... more female moderators. we are terribly underrepresented in moderation department. not saying male moderators haven't been more than sensitive to the female portion of LPSG, just saying if part of the mod duties is spotting faker-gals, then a real gal is your best weapon.
*Ms. Dolfette or Ms Enid would be amazing moderators, but i like them both to much too ever want them to put up with all misery mods get*

Well, being verified means that you can look at the photos in the gallery. I'm a pervert and I like looking at the photos in the gallery sometimes. :redface:

I still think going on cam is about the only sure way of being proved to be who you say you are.

When I first became a member here, I wasn't bothered at all by it, but I wasn't bothered by much. I imagine the longer you're here, the more pet peeves you develop!
The more fakers that I see and the more often I see them fake it the same way, the way you so accurately described it above, the more bothered I've been and I haven't been here nearly as long as you!

Oh, yes! Lots turn up. One of the most obvious ways to tell that they're men is because they're overtly sexual and a little dumb. Their posts sound like Penthouse Forum letters. It seriously makes you roll your eyes and wonder who could possibly fall for that.

There's someone in video chat who does that. I can't personally relate and I don't understand it, but it doesn't bother me at all.
It's the fake female personality that MickeyLee described on the previous page that's irksome. If a man felt the need to honestly express some actual feminine side of himself, I don't imagine it would be so stereotyped or such a bad caricature of real women. I think it would be a less two-dimensional.

Though I've been caught out in the past by a woman who turned out to be a genuine lady and not a man at all. She met almost all of the criteria given in this thread for a "fake".
A total nympho online, her interaction with anything male was a slew of yellow text speak lolporn and innuendo. Oddly enough, after the initial shock of coming across someone so incredibly and overtly sexual, it just became an accepted part of her nature and almost cute because she really was like that and it wasn't an act.
Helped by getting to know her a bit and finding out that she was genuinely a really lovely person, but it was hard for people to see that when they based their opinion of her upon how she behaved in the public areas of the site.
I'd agree that cam verification would solve a lot of issues but even then, there's ways around it and not so great for the people who don't have a webcam. At the end of the day, it's a milder annoyance when compared to some other things and it would appear that the moderators and users are ever vigilant in their quest for gender honesty.
