I don’t think it’s that he has time off I think Tony khan has no idea what to do with hook
Be carefulIs it just me or does it feel like he's barely seen? He hasn't been on the card for the last two PPVs in a row. He only made a brief appearance at Dynamite two weeks ago and as of now there's nothing planned for him at Dynamite this week. His girlfriend needs to learn to share.

He’s not really that interested in wrestling. It’s something he decided to do after tagging along with his dad to Jacksonville instead of sitting at home during lockdown.I don’t think it’s that he has time off I think Tony khan has no idea what to do with hook
Well regardless I think he’s a really good wrestler and will only improve with timeHe’s not really that interested in wrestling. It’s something he decided to do after tagging along with his dad to Jacksonville instead of sitting at home during lockdown.
We just miss him.. thats allJust because a wrestler barely uses social media to gush about their favourite old school wrestlers doesn’t mean they aren’t interested or invested in wrestling as a career.
If he wasn’t interested then they wouldn’t have booked him in the majority of PPV’s this year, the main event of Dynamite with their world champion or had last week be the first Dynamite in months that he hadn’t had any involvement in.
Wrestling fandom is so dumb at times.
Oh I get it, wasn’t your message I thought was dumb. Just the one about him not being interested in wrestling. We just miss him.. thats all
It’s not like I’m saying he’s a terrible person for not being interested in wrestling, it’s just based off the fact that his dad has stated dozens of times during his radio show that his son doesn’t like wrestling. It’s been mentioned before on podcasts that he became interested during lockdown after joining his dad at Daily’s to help out backstage. He’s also looking to pursue a modeling and acting career.Oh I get it, wasn’t your message I thought was dumb. Just the one about him not being interested in wrestling.
He’s only missed last week and it appears that was in order to spend his gf’s birthday with her and her family. AEW is known for giving talent time off for personal stuff so it’s just that. He’ll probably show up in some form tonight to pick up his feud with Wayne and co, even if it’s just a pre-tape due to Thanksgiving.
I’m assuming the reason he wasn’t the one to stop Christian cashing in is because the ending was already an overbooked mess without throwing ANOTHER guy out there. Sabian and Wayne weren’t out there either.
Now if he misses this week AND next week then sure, there’s probably something going on (like his contract being up and not yet renewed). If he just misses this week then again I’m assuming it’s because AEW isn’t going to make all the normal talent travel at the busiest and most nightmarish travel week of the year unless they really need to b
He wants to be a model!? He needs to sign tf up for that mayb he can do one of those “my Calvin’s” ads that would kill meIt’s not like I’m saying he’s a terrible person for not being interested in wrestling, it’s just based off the fact that his dad has stated dozens of times during his radio show that his son doesn’t like wrestling. I’ll blame him not being there recently on the constant creative changes to Christian’s storyline, which isn’t his fault, but he’s missed weeks in the past while still appearing weekly in pretapes.
I say all this while still saying I’m a fan of his.
To be honest, I never understood from Taz in such a clear and unequivocal way that Hook isn't interested in wrestling and wants to pursue an acting career. If anything, I vaguely recall something about fashion design. It’s not like I’m saying he’s a terrible person for not being interested in wrestling, it’s just based off the fact that his dad has stated dozens of times during his radio show that his son doesn’t like wrestling. “It shocked me, bro. This was maybe three and a half years ago. It shocked me because he was an amazing lacrosse player in high school and college. We thought, like a lot of lacrosse guys, they go into the business world, they go into Wall Street, and he was a business major and all that. This was during the pandemic, so there was that lull where nothing was happening. So he didn’t want to sit in a cubicle in Manhattan. He’s more creative and athletic, and when he said it to me, it shocked me. The wife too. We were really surprised. We said, well, you grew up in the business, you understand the industry. He’s our only son. When he was little…in my house, I have a mat, and he was always, he played Judo and wrestled everything, so he understood the physicality part. But it shocked me that he wanted to be in the business. I’m like, well, if you’re gonna do it, you gotta go full throttle, and you gotta get trained properly. I’m so banged up, I couldn’t train him, so we sent him to Atlanta and he trained with Cody Rhodes and QT Marshall at the Nightmare Factory. He kind of got homegrown trained within the AEW system. But yeah, it shocked me when he wanted to be in the business. But I’m proud of him, he’s kicking ass," Taz said.
This is an embarrassing take for a grown adult!PLEASE half their contract is time off. Remember people afraid of that WWE grind join country club AEW he doesn't need time off. He's hardly doing anything![]()
I blame Tony. He is in a middle of major storyline with Christain but has been missing for two weeks of dynamite? To be honest, I never understood from Taz in such a clear and unequivocal way that Hook isn't interested in wrestling and wants to pursue an acting career. If anything, I vaguely recall something about fashion design.
Either way, why guess when we can look at what Taz said about Hook last week:
To me, it sounds like Taz initially thought Hook's interest in wrestling was just a passing phase, but now Hook seems very serious about it.

So disappointing that Hook wasn't at Dynamite tonight either. I miss him so much. Here's a consolation prize:

It's not a nice thing to say but its just fact that every angle that Kip Sabian is a part of ends up getting dropped by AEW.I blame Tony. He is in a middle of major storyline with Christain but has been missing for two weeks of dynamite?
when is it going to happen ?He's going to have a match against Nick Wayne when AEW goes to the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City. That match should have some special meaning for Hook because it was a venue that ECW had a number of shows at through the years and I'm sure his father had a lot of memorable moments in that building.
