I'm pretty sure he does this because he doesn't have a choice. I don't remember if it was on Youtube or OF, but he once made a video talking about his personal situation, and basically he made a large investment just before Covid hit and now his financial situation is extremely dire. It was kinda depressing to be honest - it's good that he's able to talk about it, but frankly it's also a bit of a boner killer to know that he's doing this out of desperation.
I don’t think it was crypto. I seem to remember him saying that he had bought a home with plenty of room for his family to have a small farm which was his dream. I’ll see if I can remember the specific video where he talks about his mortgage going up and needing to start OF to keep up. ChrisDoesASMR made a livestream a few hours ago and at the 5 minute mark he was asking for donations to help pay for Trent's funeral. If you followed TrentDoesASMR, you know that his channel vanished a few weeks ago without explanation. Chris doesn't go into specifics in the video, but it sounds like either an accident or su!c!de, which is very sad.

That sounds awful, my heart goes out to Trent's family & Chris especially as it sounds like they were both close. Hopefully whatever happened, he's in peace now x
I haven't watched the stream and don't want to sound like an evil, cynical person, but certainly asking for funeral donations would involve a more organized campaign (GoFundMe, etc.) than just funneling money directly into his CashApp?
That's a good point, at least via GoFundMe etc it would be more transparent and have more protections for donations. Although some countries (idk which, i just know a few) don't allow GFM etc so. Idk if he's American or where he's from so just throwing that out there as a potential caveat

Yeah I’m pretty sure he was kidding and Trent just decided to leave the channel. He posted something on community tabs about maybe returning after the break and now everything’s private.
That'd a pretty fucked up thing to joke about, because he didn't sound like he was kidding throughout the video
That looks awful. If he really didn't die, it's terrible to joke about someone's death. Chris appears to be normal and smiling for someone who is serious about the death of a friend. Idk what to think about it!
