when btec came back from his hiatus i suspected maybe he had been fired or he had quit. he quit. he's been hating the job since january. the total commute was 4 hours every day, and it made him late sometimes, so he was always in trouble with hr. he was also not pleased that despite being there for marketing, no one in his team were from marketing and they all spend most of the time just handling data. so now he's going back to uni in london to study advertising. because he realized marketing is more about data and he wants to do the creative aspect of ads, which is what advertising is about. probably not smart of him to be advertising not just the uni he's going to but the exact campus. sounds like a recipe for stalking.
he mentions that he might feel like a creep because he's 23 and the people will be around are gonna be 18 and he doesn't feel comfortable going to parties and such because of that. which is such a chronically online take. as if there's really that big of a difference between 18 and 23. he's talking like he's 32.
he promises that because he doesn't have a job and is just studying, save from when classes get a bit more chaotic, there's gonna be a lot of videos for the next 3 years

ok but why would anyone travel 4 hours every day for work?
