The first and only season of “Cover Up” is here: Cover Up (Full & Complete Episodes) 1984-1985 TV Series Action

Hexum’s last episode is six. There’s a memorial at the end of episode seven, in which his name is misspelled. These are low-res, and sound quality varies. Jennifer O’Neill is a horrible actor but she tries.

I watched all two seasons of “Voyagers!”, “The Making of a Male Model” and the first eight or nine of “Cover Up” in real time. I didn’t watch the rest until YouTube, because I was so upset (secretly) at the time.

He wasn’t my first male crush but was the one that somehow fully made it okay. How could being attracted to him ever be wrong by any morality? Must have been those eyes. He’s definitely my Marilyn Monroe, right down to the wanting to be taken more seriously as an actor.

As for my first crushes, I can’t be certain but Shaun Cassidy, Parker Stevenson, Paul Michael Glaser, David Soul, Kent McCord, Martin Milner, Randolph Mantooth, Robert Fuller, Dirk Benedict, Gil Gerard and Robert Conrad come to mind. I almost included Leonard Nimoy, but that’s more of a Spock thing.

Wow this brings back memories
I haven’t been able to get myself to watch the whole thing again since I first saw it in 1983. The tragedy still gives me shivers.

I know he wanted to break out of the hunk image and while I doubt he could’ve been as big as contemporaries like Brad Pitt or George Clooney, but i’m sure he would’ve had some major roles. I believe his scenes from the movie The Bear were mostly cut. The character he was playing died ar 28, while Jon-Erik was two and a half weeks shy of 27 when he died.

I know he wanted to be taken more seriously as an actor, so would’ve started to lean towards more character roles, not just action adventure. I could’ve seen him as RoboCop or James Bond or in Aliens or so many things. I guess it’s pointless to imagine.

When I watch Voyagers, I so wanted to be Jeffrey Jones and be whisked away from home into a life of adventure. I guess that’s what Jon-Erik wanted too and I guess he did have an adventure for a while.

I didn’t see it at the time, but this interview was from September 1984 and he died six weeks later. He’s impossibly handsome, but he was so much more than that.
