This thread has passed by me now quite a few times and I have really really tried to ignore it, but sadly I have lost the battle. I once quizzed my grandmother in '88 or so if she knew who Madonna was. She laughed and said, "Of course I do, dear! She's on MTV."

I on the other hand, am absolutely clueless as to what this beaver is about nor have I ever heard any of his/her music--and do not care. Moreover, I don't understand the screaming girlies at the concerts. When I was that age we were attracted to "rock stars" that actually looked like men, i.e. Jon Bon Jovi, Rick Springfield, Billy Idol... You get my drift As Bea Arthur once said to me, "I don't know what the fuck to do with it." His poor mother probably has the same thoughts.
