For a movie to ‘break even’ it typically needs to make 2.5x its budget (so $50million) in this case. Advertising and promotion costs aren’t tacked onto a film’s budget and it’s costly.

So I don’t think it’s broken even yet but I imagine, like you pointed out, it’ll do well digitally and on streaming and make a good deal there. A24 doomed it in theaters choosing to release it when they did

Yes, I didn’t want to bog down the thread with the details of stuff like P&A (which I actually imagine was kept low), the tax breaks it got in the UK, the details of the deals and stuff, but I guess it didn’t matter in the long run since the thread always finds a way to go off the rails regardless. People also keep forgetting it’s an indie movie and A24. It’s done better than a majority of A24 movies, and that’s not an exaggeration.

Take your 10 posts and sit down til you know WTF you're talking about, you goofball. I've been in every iteration of this thread for years and I post far more in this thread than Joe's. Because of that, deranged stans like you on the other side of the equation actually accused me of not liking Joe either. But I like both actors. The moral here is that just being a fan of Kit (or Joe) does not mean everyone here is onboard with random strays being shot at Joe (or Kit) in the other person's threads.

And no: My saying that Kit's very promising career is not yet at the level of Timothee Chalamet is not the same thing as someone else calling Joe Locke talentless, lol.
