Honestly it plays out less like a show and more like a checklist. Every act somebody unlocks a brand new Serious Issue, like a Winnie the Pooh diagnosis chart come to life — this one’s the eating disorder, that one’s the homophobic dad, next up self-harm, then a second coming-out for good measure. By the finale you half expect a narrator to go “and that’s how Piglet learned about anxiety.” Nobody gets to just have a life; each character got handed a Topic for the term and has to see it through.
Yeah this has unfortunately been my experience with the show as well. I barely made it through season 2 and likely won't watch the movie.
I loved season one due to the novelty of seeing a certifiable gay romance on television. Then I became increasingly annoyed/bored with season two until it hit me: "wait...this is a f'n kid's show"
Nothing wrong with that of course; I think a lot of us forgot that this is a teen show made for teenagers.

I don't think most people forgot. I think most viewers understood exactly what this show was from the beginning. It's based on a YA graphic novel, for chrissakes. But there has always been a vocal minority who refused to accept it for what it is: pure escapism, where all queer kids find love, community, and happy endings. Constantly criticizing it for not being something it was never trying to be is a misunderstanding that says more about their utter lack of media literacy than the show itself.
Anyway, back to Kit. Something I've been wanting to see from him that we haven't gotten yet is an underwear photoshoot. That would be super hot to see him in some boxer-briefs or briefs.

Is anyone else kind of sad that there's no new shirtless Kit content for the foreseeable future, barring any clips in next week's documentary? I know we're all waiting for Rapture to have ANY movement at all, but I'm falling into a bit of a funk.
Either way, hopefully these voice acting gigs he has/had with the Wild Robot and upcoming Charlie and the Chocolate Factory animation were just due to scheduling purposes and that we get to see him in live action (in a non-Elden Ring role) soon!

Im getting concerned Rapture is canceled or his part will be recast. Sucks cause it sounded like of all his announced projects the one most likely to have his first nude scene.

Really, you're not hyped for the millionth round of "this piece of gay media is bad and harmful actually, because I said so" discourse.
Kit is fiiiiine af though. I hope he gets a franchise role that's not hackneyed.
I would say Bond, but those hollywood morons are too risk averse now to cast anyone that isn't already heavily established and highly curated.
Tbh Im glad Kit comes and goes, this man makes me obsessed more than any other celebrity I ever seen so I def need a break from time to time from seeing his gorgeous body in order to remain a functional member of society

Anyway, Andrew Haigh’s A Long Winter is having its Canadian premiere at TIFF. Should also be screening at Telluride.
Speaking of his other roles, it looks like one of the three production companies associated with Rapture dissolved late last year. Hopefully the other two companies are still pulling for the film...
