Was this meant for the Ben Hardy thread?
I’d say the rumours could well be true (Henry Cavill was allegedly close to being cast as Superman in Superman Returns but pulled out/didn’t get the job because he turned down Singers advances)
It was much more pedantic.
Originally, Superman Returns (after a month of auditions) was between Paul Walker, Brendan Fraisure & Matt Bomer who all tested with Amy Adams (in the same day, I think.) Brett Ratner chose Matt Bomer (knew he was gay privately but didn't care) but then Brett Ratner left the project
Then McG replaced Brett Ratner, he didn't want Matt and he was out. McG chose Henry Cavill but then McG left the project.
Bryan Singer replaced McG but wanted someone that looked like Christopher Reeve so we got Brandon Routh and Henry Cavill was out.
It's really common for that to happen when the director has all the power and wants the actor to fit his vision besides, Singer likes twinks.
Ryan once said like two years ago that he wants to do a season in the fall and one in the spring but he’s been hush hush about it since. He never said that Apocalypse would have a sequel season and frankly that story has been wrapped up with the finale[/SPOILER]
He said a long time ago that he thought he might revisit the Coven season. Apocalypse was basically AHS: Coven part 2. However he also added that he didn't think he'd do it until the end of the series.
The show still has a couple of more seasons left but Ryan also has his Netflix shows starting. He already has very little to do with the day to day of the show at this point. If anything, he gave us this as a way of saying goodbye so he can focus on Netflix while other people handle American Horror Story.
He mentioned a "secret season" at some point but he throws out stuff all the time but doesn't necessarily follow through. In any case, hopefully Kyle will be on one of his various new Netflix shows. Maybe he'll pop up on The Politician? They already announced that Dylan McDermott will be joining the cast.
