They all sound awkward when I say them. I used to always say jacking off, but since getting a car, I've somehow connected that phrase to changing a tire. Now I usually say "jerking" or, if in response, "What do you think?"

I feel like the only phrases I hear used by adults to describe this activity is jacking, jerking or beating off. All those other novel terms like spanking the monkey or polishing the wood , etc. are only used by teenagers or mentioned in postings on sites like this. That's only my experience:smile: . I wish I could hear more adults use fun language in real life. I'm too embarased to use any funky terminology when describing one of my fave pastimes!!:biggrin1:
