I am so sad about Matt being gone. He was a good friend of mine. I always check to see who is in chat before I head in there and whenever I saw he was in, I went in to chat with him. He called me JennBob, no clue why, but it always made me smile. His health problems caused him mental as well as physical angst. I'm glad the struggle is over for him.


I wonder if he would be surprised at how many people on LPSG feel sadness at his passing.

i'm very sad about this news. Mattness was always such a controversial and interesting character, his prescence in the chat will be greatly missed. We bonded over our love of musicals (Patti LuPone! The Tonys!) and shared hard to find music with eachother. He was a great guy and I hope that he is at peace.

oh i was so shocked at the news, it made me weep, but some spend years here and some a short time,so i have to ask is this heaven or hell , well we may never know , but matty was and still is a well educated level headed guy, i think he had the best out of his short life. he was a great person to chat to and i will miss him .

I just came on to find a message in my inbox alerting me to Matt's passing. I had the pleasure of meeting Matt in Seattle back in October. He was a very humorous person - full of life and energy. We had a wonderful conversation about the world, our families, and other important things to us. He was a smart man, logical, even though here it would appear to some that his ranting and that his comical side might suggest otherwise.

I was fortunate in meeting him and was looking forward to meeting him again in my future travel plans to Seattle.

He will be missed. Greatly.

OMG, I just heard. Matty was a chat buddy of mine on here. While he was grump at times, he was never a grump to me. He always had a great sense of humor, and it's sad to know that he won't be around to call me his pet name for me.
